Instructions for Use:
1. Open the sterile peel pack and remove the ENDOGATOR
sterile water (500cc, 1000cc, or 1500cc). Drop the angle cut tubing bundle into the sterile water bottle
and firmly tighten the bottle cap to ensure a secure seal. Remove the 24 hour label from the pouch
and apply it to the bottle of sterile water. Write the date and time on the label.
NOTE:
If CO 2 source is used, disconnect the air pressure extension tubing containing the PENTAX
air coupling from the backflow valve/stopcock assembly, ensuring that the backflow valve
remains connected to the stopcock. Attach the CO 2 delivery source to the ENDOGATOR
Hybrid Irrigation Tubing's CO 2 input backflow valve luer. Follow instructions from CO 2
manufacturer.
NOTE:
To prevent water leakage, place irrigation tubing in pump head regardless of whether
irrigation is needed.
2. Place the ENDOGATOR Hybrid Irrigation Tubing, connected to the bottle of sterile water, in the water
bottle holder provided on the pump.
3. Holding both connectors in one hand, insert flexible ENDOGATOR Tubing and close pump head. Take
care to prevent the connectors from touching the ground. NOTE: Ensure that flexible portion of the
pump tubing is properly centered, aligned, and pulled taut in the pump head or the water flow may
be reduced.
4. Connect the air/water tubing with the metal tip into the air/water input port of the GI endoscope by
slightly twisting and pushing firmly.
5. Attach ENDOGATOR Hybrid Irrigation Tubing to the GI endoscope's auxiliary water port by luer-locking
onto an auxiliary water jet connector, such as the (#100242). Engage the threads of the connector and
turn slowly until you feel resistance. (For specific instructions with regards to the connector, follow the
IFU for the connector located in each shelf carton).
6. If using air, connect the PENTAX air coupling into the processor with a firm twist until the connector
clicks into place.
7. Prime the tubing and the auxiliary water channel prior to use by activating the foot pedal; flush water
through the entire GI endoscope.
8. Turn on the air processor or CO 2 .
9. Prime the channel and test for air and water prior to insertion of GI endoscope into patient. If the water
pressure is low, then ensure that the water bottle is tightly closed.
WARNING:
To prevent cross-contamination, always prime the Air/Water channel and auxiliary water
channel prior to inserting the GI endoscope into the patient.
10. If the water bottle needs to be replaced, use proper aseptic techniques.
11. When the procedure is finished, close the pinch clip and disconnect from the GI endoscope.
12. Turn off the air processor/CO 2 source at the conclusion of the procedure. Turn the pump off before
disconnecting.
13. Discard the ENDOGATOR Hybrid Irrigation Tubing daily. (For specific instructions with regards to the
connector, follow the IFU for the connector located in each shelf carton).
