Once st.conf has been modified, the kernel must be
reconfigured by booting the system using the boot -r
command

Configuring for the SGI Environment

Irix V5.x
To configure Irix 5.x to use the Scorpion-24, you must modify
the file /var/sysgen/master.d/scsi as described below:
1. Add the following entry to the file
/var/sysgen/master.d/scsi.
