07. Setting the scarifying depth

(see Fig. 5)
The depth of the scarifier is controlled by a setting mechanism. Pull the lever in the direction of the
arrow A and B and set the required position (4 / 3 / 2 / 1). Make sure that the lever is engaged
correctly:
4 = riding/transport position
3 = scarifying depth 4 mm
2 = scarifying depth 8 mm
1 = scarifying depth 12 mm
For the first operation of the new working drum, only working position 3 may be used.
Settings 2, 1 are only necessary after wear of the blades / aeration springs.
Depending on the degree of wear, gradually set drum lower, starting from position 2.
Important! The optimum working depth is obtained when the blades / aeration springs of the
working drum are inserted 2-4 mm into the ground. Excessive working depth can result in
overloading of the motor and damage. Be sure to set the working depth accordingly.

08. Electrical connection

This equipment is powered by the mains standard voltage (230-240 V 50 Hz). Connect the
equipment exclusively to the mains socket protected by the 16 A earth-leaking circuit breaker. In
addition, an added residual current device with the breaking current of 30 mA should be connected.
Extension cable
Use exclusively an undamaged extension cable.
The causes of damage to the cable insulation material are:
- crushing the insulation material when the cable is run over,
peeling off of the insulation material or squeezing when the cable is pulled out from under
-
the door,
disintegration of the insulation material due to ageing,
-
- tangling or breaking due to incorrect placement of the cable on the equipment and push bar.
The type of cable is specified on the cable. Use only cables with designated cable type!
The plugs and sockets of the extension cables must be rubber-coated and resistant to splashing
water. The total length of the cable shall not exceed 50 metres. A longer cable would limit the
electric motor power output and can be a cause of its damage. A longer cable requires a greater
cross section of the conductors. The power cable, extension cables and their connections should be
regularly checked for damage. Before checks, make sure that the cables are disconnected from the
mains. Uncoil the extension cable completely and check it for possible broken or worn patches or
damaged cable end connectors.
