b) Prior to each activation of the equipment, check the equipment and the power cable for
damage. If any damage to the power cable or its plug connector occurs during operation,
immediately pull the connector out of the socket.
NEVER TOUCH THE CABLE UNTIL IT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS. Do
not use the equipment if the power or extension cable has been damaged or worn out.
c) When operating this equipment, always wear protective footwear and long trousers.
Never operate the equipment if you are barefoot or wearing only sandals. Do not wear
loose trousers or clothes with free-hanging laces or ties.
d) Examine thoroughly the working space where the equipment is to be used and remove
all objects which might be thrown by the equipment.
e) Use the equipment only in the prescribed position and only on a firm flat base.
f) Never use the equipment on a paved or gravel bed as the tossed material may cause
an injury.
g) Prior to each activation check that all screws, nuts, pins and other fixing devices and all
protective devices are firmly tightened. Replace damaged and no longer legible labels.
h) Never operate the equipment if persons, particularly children or pets, are in its
proximity.
2) Operation
a) Use the equipment exclusively during daylight hours or with sufficient artificial lighting.
b) Do not use the equipment when the grass is wet.
c) Always pay attention to very good stability, particularly on slopes.
d) Never run when working.
e) When working on slopes, always push the scarifier along the slope, never up and down
the slope.
f) If you change direction on slopes, be extremely careful.
g) Never perform scarification or aeration on extremely steep slopes.
h) Pay utmost attention when rotating or pulling the equipment towards you.
i) Before you fold the equipment down for transport or for crossing patches of soil without
grass, wait until the spikes stop moving.
j) Never use the equipment if the protective devices or protective plates are damaged.
Never use the equipment if the protective devices, such as the taking-off plate and/or
collecting bag, are not correctly positioned.
k) Start the motor only as specified in these instructions and take care that your feet
remain at a sufficient distance from the iron spikes of the scarifier.
l) Keep the power and extension cables out of the reach of the spikes.
m) Do not tilt the equipment when starting the motor unless it is necessary to tilt the
equipment when starting it. In this case tilt the equipment only within the necessary
scope; tilt it exclusively on the side away from the operator. Before putting the
equipment on the ground again, ensure that both hands of the operator hold the push
bar in its working position.
n) Never transport the equipment with its motor started.
o) Keep your feet and hands out of the reach of the rotating parts. Always leave the
cischarge opening unobstructed.
p) Switch off the equipment and pull the plug out of the socket. Make sure that all moving
parts stop completely:
- when you are leaving the equipment,
- before you start removing any block or clearing an obstructed discharge opening,
