PROTECTION AGAINST OVERLOADS
The lawnmower is protected against overloads. If the
mower is put under too high a load, the safety will trip
and the motor is stopped. If this happens release the
switch and wait until the safety is automatically reset
before starting the mower.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Before starting to cut the lawn free it of any stones or
other objects that could damage the blade. Set the
cutting height according to the actual height of the
grass. Make several runs so that a maximum of 4 cm
is cut each time. Proceed slowly and constantly, this
will improve results. Be very careful when turning on
slopes. Empty the grassbox when it is full so that the
discharge does not block. The lawnmower can be
used without grassbox but make sure that the guard
flap closes the discharge properly. Avoid going over
piles of previously cut grass to avoid blocking the
discharge and prevent useless loads on the motor.
To increase the cutting capacity, remove the battery
from its housing and replace it with a battery that is
fully charged.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION! Before carrying out inspections or
maintenance, stop the motor and take the safety key
out of the switch.
Constant care of the lawnmower will ensure a long
life and optimum efficiency.
Clean the mower with a brush or cloth. Do not
remove dirt with a water spray or solvent. The blade
is most liable to wear and tear: periodically check
that it is sharp and firmly fastened.
If the blade is blunt it should be sharpened or
replaced. Vibrations should imply that the blade has
been set off balance or bent by an accidental knock.
At the beginning of each season carefully check the
condition of the blade, battery and electrical contacts.
If the blade hits an object while it is rotating, switch
off the lawnmover, check that the moving parts have
not been damaged and if necessary, replace them.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
The motor stops:
-
the battery may be flat
-
circuit breaker has tripped: it resets
automatically
-
make sure that the discharge is not blocked
-
alter the cutting height
-
if absolutely necessary, take the mower to your
nearest service centre
The grassbox does not fill up:
-
adjust the cutting height
-
make sure that the grass is not too heavy to be
pushed into the grassbox
-
make sure that the grass is not too damp
-
clean the air outlets in the grassbox
The cut is not satisfactory:
-
adjust the cutting height
-
sharpen the blade if it is blunt
-
check that the grassbox is not full
BLADE SHARPENING AND CHANGING
CAUTION! Wear work gloves and remove the
safety key.
- Unscrew the blade-fixing nut with a hexagonal
17 mm spanner.
- To sharpen the blade set it in a clamp and file the
cutting edge uniformly (fig. M). Check the blade
balance (fig. L).
- If the blade needs changing use genuine
part n. 5950765.
STORAGE
When the cutting season is over, carry out general
cleaning of the lawn mower and check that all the
components are working correctly (see
MAINTENANCE).
Do not spray the mower with water. Water
infiltrations in the safety fuse, electronic regulator
and motor may cause irreparable damage.
Remove the safety key. Fold the handle to occupy
less space. Cover the lawnmower and store it in a
dry place, protected against dust and out of the
reach of children.
