Please read carefully through these instructions for use before installing this device.

1. Operation

The SMS-Alert is GSM module with back-up batteries used to send out an alarm after a power failure or after a triggered input.

Undesirable failure of the circulation pump can have major consequences for fish farms and ponds. The SMS Alert will alert you when the pump shuts down due to pump
or power failure. The flow switch of the device switches when there is no water flowing past. You will be alerted via an SMS that your pump has fallen down so that you can
check the problem directly.

The SMS-Alert is pre-programmed with standard action-reaction patterns. To change this behaviour please refer to chapter 3.
The factory settings of the SMS-Alert cause following reactions:
• I n case a power failure occurs the SMS-Alert sends an alarm SMS text message and calls to the phone numbers as programmed. The SMS message contains the text 'SMS
alert Mains power failure' .
• I n case the power is restored, the SMS-Alert sends a 'power restored' SMS text message to the phone numbers as programmed. The SMS message contains the text 'SMS

alert Mains power restored' .
• I n case input 1 is activated, the SMS-Alert sends an alarm SMS text message and calls to the phone numbers as programmed by the user. The SMS message contains the
text ' SMS alert pump failure' .
• I n case input 2 is activated, the SMS-Alert sends an alarm SMS text message and calls to the phone numbers as programmed by the user. The SMS message contains the
text ' SMS alert water level too low' .
• In case the batteries need to be replaced, the SMS-Alert sends a ' battery low' SMS text message to the administrator (first telephone number).

This user manual contains important guidelines for the installation and usage of the SMS-Alert device as described in this manual. Please read these thoroughly before you
start using the SMS-Alert device!

In case of damage caused by disregarding the guidelines, the warranty expires.
The user must regularly check the proper functioning of the device. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage caused by any incorrect use or incorrect function-

ing of the SMS-Alert device.
Safety guidelines
• The permitted ambient temperature during operation may not be exceeded (not lower than -10°C and not higher than 50°C).
• The device is intended for use in dry and clean places.
• Protect the device from moisture, heat and water splashing.

• The guidelines for the battery usage must be regarded.
• Do not expose the device to strong vibrations.
• Do not let it fall from height.
• Do not use in an environment where any inflammable gases, vapors or dust are present or could be present.
• The repairs of the device may only be carried out by people, trained for SMS-Alert repair.
• In case the device must be repaired, only original replacement components may be used. The use of different parts may lead to damage of the SMS-Alert device.
Use in accordance with the regulation
The use of this device in accordance with the regulation is sending SMS text messages and making telephone calls after an alarm situation. Other usages are not permitted.
Battery recycling
CR123 batteries, as used in the SMS-Alert, are classified as non-hazardous waste and can be recycled. Please take empty batteries to a nearest collection point.
SIM
It is recommended that a SIM card with a subscription is used. With a prepaid SIM card you will not receive automatic notification when there is no more credit in the SIM card.
