3.4. Preparation to assembly and disassembly

The panels should be assembled at an ambient temperature of at least 12OC provided that these panels have
been soaked at the temperature for 24 hours minimum (the best assembly temperature is 23 +/- 2OC). Before
the panels are assembled, remove the protective layer, and put the self-adhesive gasket in the special-purpose
slots of the shapes right and left of the "tongue". Important! The panel tongue-to-groove joints are joined to
each other by pressing on one of the ends of a panel and, subsequently, by joining it in such a manner all along
the length of the panel. The cold room assembly should be started from the floor panels arrangements. The
subsequent assembly is pursuant to the enumeration on Fig. 1.
Fig.1. Cold Room Assembly Sequence
On completion of the floor assembly one should get down to the wall assembly along the perimeter starting
from joining a side panel and the post to make a corner. In assembly the side panels should be located by the
"tongues" towards the same side as those on the door frame panel (on the left from the assembly operator who
is inside the cold room). The side wall to be assembled the last one is completed after it has been joined with
the third and fourth posts. The door frame panel can be mounted on any wall of the cold room.
The room door assembly should be commenced from the attachment of the door hinges (Fig. 2). In this case the
hinge self-closing unit should be directed downwards. A hinge is attached by aligning the holes at one of the
sides of the hinge and the door and, subsequently, by fixing them with screws M6x20. Then the door with the
hinges is hanged on the door frame panel in the same manner. The fixation screws should be covered by
decorative plugs. The cold room door handle and the lock (Fig. 3) are installed as follows:
lubricate the rubber ring on the stem (Item 4) and the central guide hole in the room door (external)
handle (Item 2) with the inbuilt lock by a silicon lubricant;
set foamed rubber gaskets (Item 1) on the lock-equipped door handle (Item 2) and on the door safety
(Item 5) (internal) handle;
insert the stem with the rubber ring (Item 4) in the central guide hole of the external handle and fit an
expansion sleeve (Item 3) on it;
install the external and internal handles in the door holes;
put two bolts M6x75 (Item 6) in the internal handle fixing holes and tighten up these;
Fix the door lock latch unit (latch and strap) to the door frame by screws M6x20.
Close the door after the internal handle movable lever is latched up. Check tightness of the door gasket by
looking at the door "peek-a-boo". If any light is coming in due to poor tightness, it should be prevented by
adjusting the door lock latch position.
