3.5. Operation procedure

Before the room is put into operation, one should:
remove a protective film from the outer and inner surfaces of a panel;
wash the inner and outer surface of the room by warm water with neutral detergents, rinse it by water
and dry up.
The room should be loaded by food items when a required temperature is attained. To ensure the routine
operation of the room and to maintain the assigned temperature in the cooled down volume it is necessary to:
load the room by food items cooled down (frozen) to this temperature;
while loading and unloading the food items, the room doors should be kept open as shortly as feasible.
The food storage rules are as follows:
food items should be loaded with gaps to prevent any problem with the air circulation in the cooled
down volume on racks, around movable hooks or in containers;
food items that easily evolve or take up odors should be kept in tight containers or wrapped in a
polyethylene film, or in other tight materials.
Should any malfunction emerge during the operation of a cold room, a mechanic of the Service Center should be
called up.

3.6. Storage rules

A cold room should be stored in the transportation containers of the manufacturer indoor or under a shed at a
minimum ambient temperature of minus 35°C and at a maximum relative humidity of 80 percent. The storage
time should not exceed 6 months.

3.7. Transportation

A packed cold room should be transported by any means of transportation in compliance with the regulations in
force there.
While transporting, one should:
protect the transportation containers from mechanical damages;
ensure a stable position of the packed product.
NEVER ROLLOVER BOXES!

4. MAINTENANCE

4.1. General

Two types of maintenance are established for the products: operational and scheduled.
The operational maintenance includes a temperature monitoring inside the cooled down volume, a check of
proper loading and an inspection of proper inside illumination. During operation the cold room should be kept
clean. Avoid any use of abrasive and corrosive detergents at sanitary treatment.
The scheduled maintenance should be done against an annual schedule to be developed by the Center
responsible for technical services before the planned year comes. The scheduled maintenance should foresee a
routine set of operations to be done bi-monthly irrespective of the room serviceability as on the maintenance
commencement time.
