3. PURPOSE USE

3.1. General instructions

The Operations Manual specifies the data required for the proper operation and maintenance of a cold room
when it is used direct straight for cooling. The cold room service life and safety depend on the safety rules duly
observed.

3.2. Safety precautions

The cold room electric safety is ensured by the requirements to the cold room built-in earthing and by the
requirements of the electric safety to the cold room. Should the specified requirements be violated, the
manufacturer is not liable for the electric safety.

3.3. Requirements to premises

When a cold room is installed indoor, the requirements listed below should be observed:
premises must be dry and well ventilated;
the recommended ratio of volumes of the cold room and the premises should be at least 1:3.5 m3/m3.
If the ratio is not right, the premises should be equipped by an exhaust-plenum ventilation system. A breach of
the condition results in a violation of the cooling mode and, thus, in a growth of the power consumption.
the cold room should be installed at a distance of at least 0.1 m from walls and 0.6 m from the ceiling.
The passage to the cold room should be at least 0.7 m wide.
The cold room should not be subject to the direct solar radiation, and it should be located 1.5 m away
from a source of heat.
the floor should be leveled in the horizontal plane.
the surface roughness should not exceed 2 mm. The floor clope should not exceed 1 percent.
When the cold room is installed, any surface irregularities and a slope of the floor result in a relative displacement
of the panels and, thus, a loss of tightness of the room that causes an increase in the power consumption.
Important! When a cold room is installed outdoors under a shed, it should be installed on uniform concrete or
asphalt floors. The permissible surface roughness of a floor should not exceed 3 mm, but the floor slope
lengthwise and sideways should not exceed 1.5 percent.
