Equipment variants
All force transducers are available in different versions. The following options
are available:
1. Cable length
Different cable lengths between 3 m and 30 m are available
2. Connection variants (plugs)
The force transducer can be ordered with different plugs, making it easy to
connect to HBM amplifiers:
- Cables with free ends (amplifiers with connection clamps, e.g. PMX, Digi­
clip, etc.)
- D-Sub plug, 15-pin (MGC+, MP series industrial amplifiers, Scout, etc.)
- D-Sub-HD plug, 15-pin (many Quantum series modules)
- MS plug, ME3106PEMV plug for older device types, e.g. DK38
- RJ45 plug for connection to Espresso DAQ
- Con P1016. Connection to Somat Xr series devices
3. TEDS transducer identification
You can order the force transducer with transducer identification ("TEDS").
TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) allows you to store the trans­
ducer data (characteristic values) in a chip that can be read by a connected
measuring device (with an appropriate amplifier). HBM records the TEDS
data before delivery so that no parameterization of the amplifier is neces­
sary (also see Chapter 8 "TEDS transducer identification", page 24)
