3 Instructions For Use
u Place the neckloop over your head. The ear mold marked red is for your right ear, the ear
mold marked blue is for your left ear.
u Insert the ear mold into your outer ear with the opening pointing into your ear canal
u Twist the ear mold slightly to insert it fully into your ear
firmly in your outer ear and forms a good seal.
u Adjust the boom microphone to sit within 1 cm of your mouth, close to your upper lip. Ensure
that the microphone sound inlet, marked with a white dot points towards your mouth
u Set the output volume on the aircraft audio panel to the minimum level.
u Connect the FreeCom 7000 to the aircraft audio panel using the suitable adapter. The
headset function is now active.
u Activate the ambient awareness and level-dependent hearing protection function by
switching the battery door clockwise in position „I". A beep indicates correct operation.

3.2 Adjusting the volume of the communication signal

u Set the volume of the FreeCom 7000 headset (communication signal) to the desired level
by adjusting the volume control on the aircraft audio panel.

3.3 Adjusting the volume of the ambient awareness

u Use the volume control on the FreeCom 7000 control box to adjust the sound level at
which you can hear ambient (surrounding) sounds. At power up, the system plays ambient
sounds at a level similar to that heard if the ears were unprotected.
