Installation
Application
Video door communication station
for detached family homes or to
provide security for individual apart-
ments using two-wire technology
with polarity reversal protection.
Ideal for new and retrofit installa-
tions, as well as renovation using
existing bell wires. The video set can
be upgraded to encompass a second
internal station VIS 711-0
(VIS 711-1).
For this extension, the video set
extension VSE 711-..., consisting
of internal video station
VIS 711-..., video line rectifier
VSNG 600-0 and video upgrade
box VEB 711-..., is required.
Mounting the video door
station
• Ideal mounting height of the
camera 1.60 m.
1 Loosen the recessed head screws
positioned in the centre and at the
top and bottom of the housing, and
lift off the top of the housing.
• Detach the loudspeaker cable from
the socket.
2 In order to prevent the ingress of
water, insert the connecting cables
from below into the housing base
and fasten in the corners using 4
screws.
3 Connect in accordance with the
wiring diagram
Inscribing/exchanging the name
plate
4 With the top of the housing
removed, apply pressure to the cover
of the name plate and lift off the
cover. Make the required inscription
on the provided inserts, fit into place
and replace the cover.
Camera alignment
5 With the top of the housing
removed and with an active picture
connection open the screw, position
the camera (± 17°), fix the camera in
place again with the aid of the screw
Loudspeaker volume control
6 With the top of the housing
removed and with an active speech
connection, set potentiometer "V"
using a size "1" screwdriver.
Call monitoring/door release
monitoring
• When the call button at the door
loudspeaker or the release button at
the internal station is actuated, an
acknowledgement tone is sounded
for the visitor at the door station.

Plug the loudspeaker cable into
"LS"; Close the door station; Replace
the top of the housing, secure with
screws at centre, top and bottom.

video station
8 Open the housing by exerting a
light pressure on the concealed
spring tabs using a size "1" screw-
driver through the release holes on
the right-hand slide.
9 Hinge open the top of the housing
to the left, detach the ribbon cable
and non-interchangeable plug "S1"
from the main pcb, and lift off the
top of the housing.
• Insert the connecting cables into
the top of the housing and secure
using 4 screws.
10 Connect as per the wiring
diagram with one VIS 711-....
Call volume control at the
internal station
11 With the top of the housing re-
moved, set the required volume at
potentiometer "P1" using a size "1"
screwdriver.
