11. Phono operation

 Lay the turntable mat onto the turntable.
 Remove the protective cap from the pick-up arm.
NOTE!
Please keep this protective cap safe.

11.1. Playing records

 Switch the device on by pressing .
 If necessary, press the FUNCTION button until the operating mode
PHONO appears on the display.
 Place a record on the turntable.
 Before playing a single with a larger hole, place the adapter ("puck") on the spin-
dle.
NOTE!
Make sure that the record is free of dust. You can find
appropriate record-cleaning brushes and cloths in spe-
cialist retail shops.
 Select the desired speed with the speed controller:
− 33 rpm for LPs
− 45 rpm for singles
 Set the AUTO STOP switch to decide whether the record automatically stops
at the end of playback (ON).
 Release the latch for the pick-up arm and carefully lift up the pick-up arm.
 Move the pick-up arm inwards over the edge of the record or over the point
from which you want to play the record. The turntable starts to rotate.
 Carefully place the pick-up arm onto the position from which you want to play
the record. The needle goes down and the record starts to play.
 Control the volume with the volume controller.
 Depending on the setting of the AUTO STOP function, the turntable will stop
when the record stops playing and the pick-up arm remains in its end position.
