Intended use

The EM Meter is a measuring device that determines electrical meas-
ured values at the connection point and makes them available to
Stiebel Eltron's energy management system via LAN. This product
is NOT an electricity meter for active consumption as defined by the
EU Directive 2004/22/EC (MID); it may only be used for internal bill-
ing purposes. The data that the EM Meter collects about the energy
generated by your system may differ from the data of the main en-
ergy meter.
According to its classification in overvoltage category III, the EM Meter
may only be connected in the sub-distribution or power distribution
board on the consumer side, downstream of the power supply utility
energy meter. The EM Meter is only suitable for use indoors.
The EM Meter is approved for use in EU member states. Only use the
EM Meter in an undamaged state, and in accordance with the doc-
umentation provided. Any other use as well as the use of damaged
equipment can lead to material damage or personal injury.
For safety reasons, it is prohibited to modify the product, including
the software, or to install components that are not expressly recom-
mended or distributed by Stiebel Eltron for this product. Any use of
the product other than that described in the intended use section
shall be considered incorrect. Unauthorised modifications, conver-
sions or repairs, as well as opening the product, are prohibited.
The documentation provided is an integral part of the product and
must be read, observed and kept accessible at all times.
