3. Startup

Before connecting the machine, please check the following points:
3.1 IMPORTANT: Tighten the screws no. 20 on the knife attachment no. 17
before the first startup and tighten them every now and then again.
Torque = 2.5Nm to 3Nm. Use only clean compressed air. The ideal operational pressure at the
attachment coupler is 6 bar. The volume performance of the compressor should be at least of
300l/min at 6 bar. The outlet of all connections and couplers should have at least 6mm, the inner
diameter of the hose at least 7.5mm, couplers must be absolutely leak-proof.
3.2 This tool requires purified air!
A compressed air maintenance unit consisting of a water trap and oiler is an advantage. If a
maintenance unit with line oiler is not available, administer from time to time some drops of light oil in
the hose. The bearing surface of the piston rods require occasionally some drops of oil. Use liquid
and resin-free oil as a lubricant. Order No. 001780950
4. Checklist for troubleshooting
Power loss:
Air pressure in the feed pipe too high or too low = Set the pressure during running drive at 6 bar.
The outlet is at some armature between compressor and machine under 6mm, hose at least 7.5mm
Water in the machine: Steam out air feed pipe system and machine. If the machine still does not
function or if it works with a low performance after checking the above mentioned points: please send
the tool back to the nearest representative or to our headquarters for overhaul.
