TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
The device doesn't work.
The unit does not heat up.
Unusual smoke
development during
grilling.
The heating pipe goes out
automatically.
Possible cause and solution approach
Check that the power cord is plugged into the wall
outlet.
Check that the power outlet is working.
Check that the power cord is properly connected to the
unit.
Check if the heating pipe is damaged.
Check that the main switch is on.
Check if the heating pipes are broken.
Turn the regulator clockwise to MAX.
The heating pipe produces some smoke, if it is dirty, set
the heating pipe to MAX for a while to burn out all the
dirt.
Check if the inner surface (reflector) is dirty. After
grilling, excess oil or grease often accumulates on the
reflector, which can cause the grill to produce more
smoke. Clean all surfaces before grilling.
Place the food so that it is not directly above the heater.
Check that the grill is covered. If so, remove the cover
and wait about 10 minutes. If the heating pipe does not
come back on after that, it may be damaged. Contact
your local retailer and have it replaced.
