Installation of accessories

Install accessories according to the documentation supplied with
them.
11 Commissioning
The contractor must carry out and monitor commissioning and
the initial heat-up. Subject to appliance size and set temperature,
this can take several hours.
11.1

checks before commissioning

»
Check that the cylinder is mounted vertically.
»
Ensure that the power supply is disconnected.
»
Check whether the water connection is correct and was made
with the safety valve.
»
Ensure that the temperature selector is turned as far to the left
as possible.
11.2 commissioning
»
Open the cold water inlet.
»
Open a DHW draw-off point.
»
Fill the cylinder until no more air escapes from the draw-off
point, only water.
»
Close the draw-off point again.
»
Switch the mains power ON.
»
Turn the temperature selector clockwise as far as it will go.
Monitor the initial heat-up of the cylinder. The ON/OFF indicator
illuminates during heat-up. Wait until it extinguishes again.
»
Check the system and all components for leaks.
»
Check the safety valve and drip water outlet.
»
Set the temperature selector to a DHW temperature that will
suit the occupants.
11.3

taking the appliance out of use

If you ever want to take the appliance out of use, carry out the
following steps:
»
Isolate the appliance from the power supply.
»
Close the cold water inlet.
»
Drain the appliance.
11.4

restarting

»
Open the cold water inlet.
»
Open a DHW draw-off point.
»
Fill the cylinder until no more air escapes from the draw-off
point, only water.
»
Close the draw-off point again.
»
Switch the mains power ON.

Appliance handover

Explain to the user how the appliance works, and hand over these
operating instructions.

Troubleshooting

In addition to the test steps in the "What to do if ... ?" chapter,
check the following:
fault Remedy
Too little DHW Is the immersion heater scaled up? Descale it if
required.
Little or no DHW Check the controller and heating elements, and
replace if required.

Check the safety valve and drip water outlet line.
»
Check the protective magnesium anode and replace if
required.
»
Remove loose scale deposits from the cylinder.
»
If necessary, descale the inner cylinder with commercially
available descaling agents.
»
Check the electrical connection, particularly the earth
connection.

wearing parts

Replace the protective magnesium anode if it has dissolved. Use
only original spare parts.
