The Console menu
Each appliance can be configured at the appliance level through the Console menu
interface accessed through the configuration port on the rear of the appliance. All
terminal commands are accessed through a terminal or computer running terminal
emulation software.
4.1.1
Configuring the network using the Console menu
When you turn on the appliance, the appliance initializes for approximately one
minute. After it completes initialization, press any key on the terminal or on the
computer running the terminal emulation software to access the Console menu
interface. The terminal can be connected at any time, even when the appliance is
already turned on.
The Console Main menu opens. Type 1 and press Enter for the Network
Configuration option. The Network Configuration menu opens.

Type 1 and press Enter to set the network speed. You should set the connection
manually without relying on the auto negotiate feature. After pressing Enter, you are
returned to the Network Configuration menu.
Type 2 and press Enter to open the IP Configuration menu. Type the appropriate
number to select one of the following types of IP addresses: 1: None, 2: IPv4 Static,
3: IPv4 DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), 4: IPv6 Static, or 5: IPv6
DHCPv6.
