Problem
Flame goes out after
start-up or flickers
Burner does not switch
off
The room temperature
controller switches the
burner off before the
requested room
temperature is reached.
Fan does not start up or
fan is permanently
operational (cannot be
switched off)
If the device is supplied with power by mains cable, the work on the electric
system may be carried out by specialist electricians or electrically trained staff in
keeping with VBG 4 only.
Please have any repair work on the electric, gas and oil connections for WLE carried out by a service
partner of HEYLO Company only.
Decommissioning and disposal of the unit
The unit has been designed for many years of operation.
If it has to be disposed of, the competent legal regulations have to be observed in environmentally-
gentle manner.
Potential cause
Ionisation electrode does not
measure ionisation current:
Electrode incorrectly set or
defective. Turn the plug by 90
deg.
Burner nozzle is clogged.
Flame head is worn.
Combustion air not set
correctly.
The room temperature
controller is fitted at an
unfavourable place.
The room temperature
controller is defective.
The room temperature
controller is fitted at a location
where warm air or thermal
radiation is picked up, such as
sunshine, machines, warm
water or steam lines.

(cf. circuit diagram) does not
work
No power supply

Solution
Pull out and check the ionisation
electrode; replace if and when
required.
As in "Burner starts up, but does
not ignite", remove the burner
nozzle and replace by a new one
(do not clean).
Adjust the combustion air (to be
carried out by an expert only).
Place the room temperature
controller in another room. For
correct control, it is important that
the room temperature controller is
placed in the room to be heated in
such a way that no cold air is
picked up from windows, doors, et
cetera. If and when applicable
relocate the room temperature
controller.
Check the room temperature
controller (to be carried out by an
expert only); if and when required
replace.
Relocate the room temperature
controller.
Check whether the temperature
controller
-1S3.1 is operational; if and when
necessary it has to be replaced.
Use a voltage tester to check the
terminal strip X1 (cf. circuit
diagram) whether the fan drive is
supplied with power. Terminal 4
and 6/N (see circuit diagram).
