5. Putting into operation

The initial operation may be carried out by an authorised expert only. In this respect, you are welcome
to avail yourself of the assistance of the HEYLO customer services.
Prior to putting the device into operation, observe the operating instructions of the gas burner.
Set gas head and electrodes.
In case of natural gas, set the gas pressure monitor to 10 mbar and for liquefied gas to 25 mbar
(1/2 flow pressure).
Set air valve to 1 (default value).
Set the gas pressure monitor to the lowest setting (turn twice); then open by ten turns.
VStart setting: Undo the knurled screw, place it the other way around and turn to minus, then
apply 1.5 turns towards plus.
Undo the unpainted screw on the volume control Vmax. Turn Vmax. to minus and then two turns
towards plus.
Set the fittings according to the burner instructions. Set Vmax. to the requested gas pressure
(natural gas 5.7 mbar, liquefied gas 6 mbar).
ATTENTION: If the pressure is not sufficient, adjust the pressure regulator.
Check for tightness:
- Close the gas cock.
- Close the measuring device at the measuring socket of the gas fittings.
- Open gas tap - close gas tap
- Measure resting pressure.
- Switch on the device; the resting pressure must not drop during the following 40 seconds,
otherwise check the fittings.
Carry out exhaust gas analysis (set Lambda value to 1.2 to 1.3). Adjust the air valve
correspondingly

Combustion control

The burner has to be set to respective type of gas in accordance with the table mentioned below:

6. Use

Heating
1. Connection to the gas supply line has to be ensured by the DVGW approved connection pipe.
Have the initial operation and tightness checked by a gas expert.
2. Plug the mains plug into a suitable socket.
3. If required by the building regulations, connect up to chimney, otherwise use 1 m flue tube
with rain hood.
4. Set the master switch to position II "Heating". The burner starts up in pre-ventilation mode. After
about 45 s, the flame is ignited.
5. Switching off Switch off the master switch on the switch cabinet - do not remove the mains plug -
as the fan has to continue running for a short while for cooling after switching off. The temperature
controller switches the fan off automatically after a delay time of 2 to 3 minutes. The process may
repeat each other several times. For this reason, by no means remove the mains plug to switch off.
When the unit is switched off by pulling the plug or switching off the master switch, the unit cannot
cool down and may lead to damage to the combustion chamber or the flame monitor.
The safety temperature limiter may switch off and lock under certain circumstances. In this case,
the device will start up only after unlocking the safety temperature limiter.
