A fault, what to do?

Very often, "service" appears in the display due to a very minor problem. Please check whether
you can remove the fault yourself by using the following guidelines. You will save yourself the
costs of an unnecessary visit by customer service personnel.
Fault
Water flow-rate is too
low.
The water volume is
steadily reducing during
use.
The temperature can not
be set warmer than
42 °C.
The desired water tem-
perature is set, but it is
not reached.
The display is blank.
The water is not warm.
From time to time, cold
water flows out.
The set temperature, for
instance 41, blinks. The
temperature of the water
leaving the tap is higher
than the set tempera-
ture.
"service" lights up.
Despite a multitude of internal safety protection features, the performance of electronics may
still be affected by voltage fluctuations caused by, for instance, lightning storms. If you are not
able to eliminate a fault, disconnect the appliance for approx. 1–2 minutes from the mains power
supply (switch-off/screw-out of fuse in the house electrical installation). Should the fault repeat
after starting up again, switch off the fuse in the house electrical installation and call a qualified
servicing expert.
Cause
The filter in either the water tap
or the showerhead is clogged.
The filter in the corner regu-
lating valve is clogged.
Automatic regulation
The child protection feature
is activated.
The continuous-flow heater
is connected to a thermo-
statically-controlled water
faucet.
The fuse in the house electrical
installation has triggered/blown.
The fuse in the house electrical
installation has triggered/blown.
The air sensor in the appliance
detects air in the water and mo-
mentarily switches the heating
element off.
The temperature of the water
supplying the continuous-flow
heater is higher than the set
temperature (e.g. due to pre-
warmed water supplied from
a solar water heater).
Deposits may have built up in
the appliance.
Solution
Remove the filter and either
clean it or descale it.
Clean the filter.
See chapter "The meaning
of display indications –
Performance indicator"
To deactivate child pro-
tection, see "How to operate
the continuous-flow heater –
Setting a temperature limi-
tation/child protection"
The temperature at the con-
tinuous-flow heater must be
set to 60 °C.
Check the fuse in the house
electrical installation.
Check the fuse in the house
electrical installation.
After a few seconds, the
continuous-flow heater auto-
matically goes back into
operation.
Mix in cold water at the water
faucet supply.
Open the warm water tap
fully to the warmest possible
setting and let the water flow
for one minute. Repeat as
necessary.
