Colour temperature of different light sources:
Incandescent lamp
Fluorescent lamp
Sunlight
Daylight with a clear blue sky
ATW
automatic adaptation with changing illumination in the colour
temperature range 1800 – 10 500 K (e. g. for daylight or
when using special light sources like sodium vapour lamps)
AWB
automatic adaptation with smaller colour temperature
range (e. g. with illumination inside a room via incandescent
lamps or fluorescent lamps)
FIXED↵
fixed colour temperatures can be selected in the submenu:
MODE1 = 2680 K, MODE2 = 3200 K, MODE3 = 5500 K,
MODE4 = 5100 K
MANUAL↵ the proportion for RED and BLUE can separately be ad-
justed in the submenu.
6.4 BLC – backlight compensation
The backlight compensation serves to illuminate objects in the back-
light.

backlight compensation activated
The area to be illuminated and the rate of illumination can be defined
in the BLC submenu:

1) BLC AREA↵ is selected. Press the button SET . A grid of 8 × 8 fields
is now laid above the camera picture. The activated fields are high-
lighted. They mark the area to be illuminated.
2) The individual fields can be selected with the buttons LEFT
RIGHT , UP
if it is at present deactivated (orange) or activated (yellow). Press

. A selected field shows by its colour
2 800 – 3 200 K
4 000 – 5 000 K
> 5 000 K
> 10 000 K
