Troubleshooting
If the joint is not inserted into the tool correctly (e .g . incorrectly inserted
fitting), the compression cannot be completed and the tool jams. Opening
the tool using the release lever 6 is not possible in this case . The incorrectly
compressed joint cannot be removed from the tool in a normal manner . The
emergency release on the tool must be used . Proceed as described below:
- Unscrew the Allen screw SW 5 (item 4 / Fig . 2) with a suitable tool until the
joint can be removed from the tool
- Tighten the Allen screw SW 5 (item 4 / Fig . 2)
- The tool is ready for use again

Maintenance and repair

The compression tool is always to be kept clean . Dirt is to be removed with
suitable cleaning agents . The tool is to be stored where it is dry and protected
from dust .
Prior to each use the compression jaws are to be checked for any damage
or visible wear . Damaged tools must not be used and are to be sent to the
manufacturer for repair .
The repair must only be carried out by qualified persons, only original replace-
ment parts from the manufacturer are to be used .
