Do not subject the pipe to bending
stress during expansion!
The expanding tool and pipe axis
must be identical in the expansion
area (approx . three compression
sleeve lengths): Realign the pipe if
necessary by bending it!
Do not work with damaged expander
heads, otherwise the pipe will be
damaged . Replacements will be
provided immediately by your dealer

Always ensure that the jaws or joint
are fully aligned and at a right angle!
Ensure that the fittings are positioned
correctly in the tool! By aligning the
tool with the wrong fitting collar the
joint will be over-compressed!
Always fully insert the expander head
into the pipe!
Do not tilt the expanding tool .
Regularly grease the expander taper
(tube of lubricant included) . Do not
apply too much grease to the taper
to ensure that excess grease cannot
enter the pipe .
Note:
Do not apply any grease to the sur-
face of the expander segments which
come into contact with the pipe!
Your tool is fitted with the REHAU RO
expansion system . In order to avoid
damage to the pipe, do not combine
any of the parts from the REHAU RE
expansion system (up to 1996) with
components from the REHAU RO
expansion system .
