• Users finding it difficult to sit down can also benefit from using pelvic
rotation to initiate flexion of the knee instead of hip flexors.
STAIR DESCENT
For safety reasons it is recommended that Balance Knee users descent
stairs with a fully extended knee.
FOLLOW UP CHECK
• Reassess adjustments after a couple of weeks
• It may be necessary to change adjustments after user has gained
experience with the knee.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• The Balance Knee is designed for a maintenance free service life.
• Excessive exposure to water/moisture or submerging the knee may
however significantly reduce the service life and will void the warranty.
• If cleaning is needed, wipe the knee with soft cloth moistened with
small amount of general purpose oil (3 in 1) or sewing machine oil.
• DO NOT use solvent to clean the knee. Bearings and seals may be
damaged.
• DO NOT use compressed air to clean knee. Air forces pollutants into
bearings and may cause malfunctions and wear.
Caution! Avoid placing hands or fingers near moving joints.
LIABILITY
The manufacturer recommends using the device only under the specified
conditions and for the intended purposes. The device must be
maintained according to the instructions for use. The manufacturer is
not liable for damage caused by component combinations that were not
authorized by the manufacturer.
COMPLIANCE
This component has been tested according to ISO 10328 standard to 3
million load cycles. Depending on the amputee's activity this
corresponds to a duration of use of 3 to 5 years. We recommend carrying
out regular yearly safety checks
