Troubleshooting
Problem
Motor does not work.
Thermal release in the
motor has actuated.
Inaccurate mitre
cuts 0/45°.
Inaccurate rectangular
cut.
Cut is coarse or wavy.

a tendency to slide out
of the guides.

Possible cause
Motor, power cord or plug
defective.
Mains fuses defective.
Power failure.
Thermal release in the motor has
actuated.
Motor overheated.
Motor overloaded due to
excessively high cutting pressure.
Motor defective.
End stops (9) have not been set
correctly.
Excessive cutting pressure.
Saw band toothing unsuitable.
Cutting rate unsuitable.
Saw band guides set incorrectly. Check, if required correct.
Workpiece clamped incorrectly.
Saw band tension too low.
Saw band is worn.
Saw band toothing unsuitable.
Excessive cutting pressure.
Excessive saw band tension.

Excessive wear on the belt
pulleys.
Oil, grease or coolant in the
machine.

Remedial action
Have the machine inspected
by a technician.
Check and, if required, replace
the mains fuses.
Check the power supply.
Switch off the appliance. Wait until
the thermal release resets.
Check ventilation slots, if required
clean.
Select pressure according
to dimensions and material.
Have the machine inspected
by a technician.
Loosen and adjust the fastening
screws in the end stops.
Tighten the fastening screws.
Reduce cutting pressure.
