Changing the saw band
Caution!
Risk of injury! Wear protective gloves.
n Press the main switch "Off" (12) and pull
out the mains plug.
n Loosen the clamping lever (4) and push
back the saw band guide (5) as far as
the stop.
n After loosening the 4 cross-head
screws, remove the protective housing
from the saw frame.
n Reduce the saw band tension by
rotating the adjusting wheel (3) in an
anti-clockwise direction.
Do not fully loosen the adjusting
wheel as it is under spring tension!
n Slacken the hexagon-head nuts a
(A/F 10) on both outer saw band guides.
n Rotate screw b (A/F 10) slightly in an
anti-clockwise direction until the saw
band is released.
n First take the saw band off the guide
rollers and then out of the guides.
n Insert the new saw band:
first into the guides, then onto the guide
rollers.
Observe the direction of cut!
n Tension the saw band (see Adjusting
the tension of the saw band).
n Align the saw band guide by rotating the
screw (A/F 10) slightly in a clockwise
direction until the guide just touches the
saw band.
Note
The saw band guides must be adjusted until
they lightly touch the saw band and rotate
as the saw band passes through them!
They must not be blocked!
n Tighten the hexagon-head nuts (A/F 10).
n Attach the protective housing.
n Move the saw band guide (5) into the
operating position and tighten the
clamping lever (4).
