safeguard good sound quality, the damping factor should lie around 50. The longer a cable has to be, the
thicker it should be.
In this respect, a damping factor of 200 will be reduced to 47 (8 Ohms) when using a 10 m long, 2.5 mm²
speaker cable. The power loss at 8 Ohms is 1.63 %, at 4 Ohms 3.25 % and at 2 Ohms even 6.5 %.
The maximum cable length is 30 meters!

5.3 Connections

Your speaker-system can be connected via the 2-pole terminal on the rear panel.
Attention: Consider the polarity of the speakers when installing your system. "Positive" and "negative"
terminals on the amplifier must be connected to the corresponding "positive" and "negative" terminals on the
speakers.
1. Connect one end of your speaker wire to the negative right terminal on your amplifier. Connect the other
end of your speaker wire to the negative input terminal of the right speaker.
2. Connect one end of your speaker wire to the positive right terminal on your amplifier. Connect the other
end of your speaker wire to the positive input terminal of the right speaker.
3. Connect one end of your speaker wire to the negative left terminal on your amplifier. Connect the other
end of your speaker wire to the negative input terminal of the left speaker.
4. Connect one end of your speaker wire to the positive left terminal on your amplifier. Connect the other end
of your speaker wire to the positive input terminal of the left speaker.

6. INSTALLATION

This speaker-system must only be installed at a solid, plane, anti-slip, vibration-free, oscilation-free and fire-
resistant location.
Before installing the system, make sure that the installation area can hold a minimum point load of 5 times
the system's load (e.g. weight 20 kg - point load 100 kg).
The speaker-system must never be installed higher than 100 cm without secondary attachment.
Install the desired number of speaker-systems in the room.

6.1 Installing and orienting the speaker-system

Nearfield monitors are designed to be installed as closely as possible to the listener. The basic idea is to
create a direct signal path between loudspeaker and ear and to avoid indirect sound. In this way, the monitor
sound can be experienced as original as possible.
Your nearfield monitor's sound is very much influenced by the acoustic surroundings of your room. The room
size directly effects the bass reproduction. The smaller the room, the more powerful the bass. When you feel
that your monitors reproduce too much or too little bass, install them in a different place.
Make sure that the room does not sound to hall-like nor dampened. You can influence your room's acoustics
by installing or removing carpets, curtains or furniture.
In any way, avoid that your monitor's sound-waves hit reflecting surfaces like windows, tiles or walls. Your
studio mixer's surface can also reflect sound-waves. Make sure that you install the monitors slightly higher
and behind the mixer.

Do not direct the monitors in front, but rather rotate them slightliy towards the listener. In order to avoid
reflections from the ceiling or floor, the tweeters should be located as high as your ears.
Depending on your taste or possibilities of installation, you can install the monitors vertically or horizontally.
Keep a minimum distance of 9 cm to the next wall
These monitors are magnetically shielded so that you can install them next to monitors, e.g. computers or
video processing devices. Nevertheless keep a minimum distance of 8 cm to the monitor. If the image of a
sensitive device is distorted nevertheless, increase the distance.
Please take your time to experiment with your new monitors without the pressure of a recording session so
that you get a feeling for these loudspeakers. If possible, use well-known sound material in order to feel the
neutrality of these monitors. Experiment with different locations and positions before you start mixing.
22/24
Install your monitors in an isosceles triangle
where the distances between the speakers and
the listener are the same (a = b = c = ca. 90 cm).
