4. OPERATING ELEMENTS AND CONNECTIONS

1 Signal input
RCA input for connecting a signal source with line
level output.
2 Speaker output
RCA output for connecting the satellite speaker.
3 Power cable
For connection to a mains socket.
4 Power switch
Turns power to the speaker system on and off.

5. SETUP AND CONNECTIONS

Place the speakers on an even surface and align them to the ears of the listener. The tweeters should
be at ear's height, if possible. Do not place the speakers too close to walls or in corners. Nearfield
monitors are designed to be installed as closely as possible to the listener. The basic idea is to create a
direct signal path between loudspeaker and ear and to avoid indirect sound. Then the monitor's sound
can be experienced as original as possible.

Connect the satellite's black RCA plug to the RCA output of the active speaker.

Connect the signal source to the line input. It is possible to connect the line output of e.g. a mixer, CD
player or computer.

Plug the mains plug to a socket (230 V AC, 50 Hz ~). The unit can also be operated with 115 V AC,
60 Hz ~. For this purpose, set the voltage selector switch to the left position 115 V.

2-way tone control: TREBLE = high frequencies,
BASS = low frequencies.
8 Fuse holder
Only replace the fuse when the device is
disconnected from mains. Only use fuses of the
same rating and power. The correct fuse value is
specified on the rear panel.
