Installation
Purpose
The DOW1171 wireless radio smoke detector (Fig. 1, [2])
is used in conjunction with the FDCW221 radio gateway in
FDnet-compatible fire detection systems or in conjunction
with the DCW1151 radio gateway in the AlgoRex fire
detection system.
Up to 30 radio smoke detectors can be connected to a
radio gateway over a maximum distance of 40 m.
The radio smoke detector is screwed into the DBW1171
base (Fig. 1, [1]).
Preparation
Ensure that there is a radio connection between the radio
smoke detector, in its intended installation site, and the
radio gateway.
When determining where to site the base (Fig. 3), ensure
that the alarm indicator [3] can be clearly seen from the
investigation route [4].

Montage
Verwendungszweck
Der drahtlose Funk-Rauchmelder DOW1171 (Fig. 1, [2])
wird zusammen mit dem Funk-Gateway FDCW221 in
FDnet-fähigen Brandmeldesystemen oder mit dem Funk-
Gateway DCW1151 im AlgoRex-Brandmeldesystem
eingesetzt.
Bis zu 30 Funk-Rauchmelder können über eine maximale
Distanz von 40 m an einen Funk-Gateway aufgeschaltet
werden.
Der Funk-Rauchmelder wird in den Sockel DBW1171
(Fig. 1, [1]) eingeschraubt.
Vorbereitung
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Funk-Rauchmelder vom
vorgesehenen Montageort aus eine Funkverbindung zum
Funk-Gateway hat.
Legen Sie die Montagelage (Fig. 3) des Sockels fest,
damit der Alarmindikator [3] vom Erkundungsweg [4] aus
gut sichtbar ist.

Installation
1. Use 2 screws to fit the base on a plane surface (Fig. 4
and Fig. 5). Note the minimum spacing specified (Fig. 2)
and the position of the alarm indicator [5] marked on the
base [1].
2. If necessary, plug a labeled DBZ1193A detector
designation plate (Fig. 4, [6]) into the base [1].
3. If necessary, insert a detector locking device (Fig. 6, [7])
in the base [1].
A radio smoke detector screwed in the base can only

be unlocked using a screwdriver.
4. Only place the batteries in the radio smoke detector
when commissioning.
Commissioning
When commissioning the radio smoke detector,
note the documents 009865 and 001787.
Register the radio smoke detector on the radio gateway as
described in doc. no. 009865 and/or 001787.
Montage
1. Montieren Sie den Sockel mit 2 Schrauben auf einer
planen Oberfläche (Fig. 4 und Fig. 5). Beachten Sie die
einzuhaltenden Minimalabstände (Fig. 2) und die
markierte Position des Alarmindikators [5] auf dem
Sockel [1].
2. Stecken Sie bei Bedarf ein beschriftetes Melder-
Kennzeichnungsschild DBZ1193A (Fig. 4, [6]) in den
Sockel [1].
3. Setzen Sie bei Bedarf eine Melderarretierung (Fig. 6,
[7]) in den Sockel [1] ein.
Ein im Sockel eingeschraubter Funk-Rauchmelder

kann nur mit einem Schraubenzieher entriegelt
werden.
4. Setzen Sie die Batterien erst bei der Inbetriebnahme in
den Funk-Rauchmelder ein.
Inbetriebnahme
Beachten Sie zur Inbetriebnahme des Funk-
Rauchmelders die Dokumente 009865 und
001787.
Melden Sie den Funk-Rauchmelder gemäss der
Beschreibung in den Dokumenten 009865 bzw. 001787
am Funk-Gateway an.
