Operating Instructions
Voltage test
WARNING:
To avoid electric shock, be cautious.
Alter you finish insulation resistance test, discharge die tested object fully.
To avoid electric shock, do not touch the object under test and any naked part with your hand
or skin. Always place your finger behind the Finger guards an the fest leads when using the
probes.
Before you do insulation resistance test, you should do the followings: make sure that the
object to be tested has no Charge, connect the object to ground and discharge the object
fully.
When you do Insulation resistance test, don't apply other voltage to the test loop.
Before test, make sure that the rotary switch is in correct range and all the connections are
tight.
After you set the rotary switch in "2000MΩ/250V", "2000MΩ/500V" or "2000MΩ 1000V" range
positions and then press "TEST' button, the "E" and "L" terminals will output high voltage of
250V-1000V. Don`t touch the naked parts of the meter and the object under tast, otherwise,
electric shock will occur.
AC Voltage Test
Don`t attempt to test the voltage which is more than 600V
Insert the plug of the high-voltage test lead Info ACVΩ jack, the plug of the normal test lead
into G jack
Set the rotary switch in V-range. Connect the probes across the object to be measured.
Read the reading an the display
Resistance and Continuity Measurements:
Make sure that the object to be measured has no charge. Disconnect power to the object
which you want to measure.
Insert the plug of the high-voltage test lead into ACVQ jack, the plug of the normal test lead
into G jack.
Set the rotary switch in "Ω" range, Connect the probes across the load to be measured.
Read the reading on the display. If the resistance <50Ω , the built-in buzzer will sound.
Insulation Resistance Measurement
Insert the plug of the high-voltage test lead into "L" jack, the plug of the test lead which has a
big test clip end into E jack, and die plug of the normal test lead into G jack.
The test lead from E jack is a ground line.
The test lead from L jack is a live line
The test lead from G jack is a shielding line, it is to be connected to the outside surface of the
object which you want to measure, this Iine's function is to avoid that the possible leakage
current affects measurement. Set die rotary switch to OFF position. Connect the big test clip
to the test point of the object to be measured, connect the probe (or alligator clip) of the
normal fest lead to the outside surface of the object to avoid leakage current.
Choose rated voltage:
To choose the desired rated voltage, set the rotary switch to corresponding voltage position.
Touch the probe of the high-voltage test lead to another test point of the object.
Press TEST button. That High Voltage Indicator lights means high voltage has being
outputted. Read the reading on the display.
When the insulation resistance <1MΩ , the buzzer will Sound.
Stop the measurement:
After you press TEST button, High Voltage indicator lights, it means high voltage is being
outputted. About 30 seconds later, High Voltage indicator goes oft, it means the high voltage
output Stops, meanwhile the measurement stops automatically.
If you want to do measurement in continuous duration, you should press LOCK key before
High Voltage Indicator goes off.
At any time, you can press TEST button to stop the measurement.
