SERVICING AND COMPONENT
REPLACEMENT

Functional Test And Evaluation

The following should be performed after repair or
between patients:
1. Visually inspect unit for any damage, missing parts
etc.
2. Insure that unit and accessories are clean.
3. Using an independent vacuum gauge, verify that the
unit provides the proper vacuum level as stated in
the specifications.
4. Change filter cartridge if necessary, such as cases in
which filter media has become wet.

Cover Removal and Replacement:

1. Remove collection container and tubing.
2. Turn unit upside down and remove the 4 Torx (T-20)
screws that secure the base or bottom cover to the
top cover.

3. Carefully remove bottom cover by lifting upward.
4. Once bottom cover is removed the internal
components can be accessed. (See below for
individual component replacement instructions)
NOTE– If replacement of top cover is necessary, all
internal components have to be removed first.
5. Reassemble in reverse order.

Battery Replacement

1. Remove bottom cover (refer to cover removal
instructions).
2. Disconnect battery wire connector from circuit board
and remove battery.

3. Install new battery and reconnect battery wires to
circuit board.
4. Replace bottom cover and secure with Torx screws.

Printed Circuit Board Replacement

1. Remove bottom cover (refer to cover removal
instructions).
2. Disconnect battery and compressor wire connectors
from circuit board and remove board.
3. Install new circuit board and reconnect battery and
compressor wires.
4. Replace bottom cover and secure with Torx screws.

Compressor / Piston Replacement

1. Remove bottom cover (refer to cover removal
instructions).
2. Disconnect battery and compressor wire connectors
from circuit board and remove board and battery.
3. Carefully lift compressor / piston assembly upward
while removing it from the manifold or vacuum head.

4. Install new compressor and replace printed circuit
board and battery.
5. Reconnect battery and compressor wires to circuit
board.
6. Replace bottom cover and secure with Torx screws.
