Putting into Operation

The unit operates optimally with a pressure of 6.3 bar
(90 psi) measured at the air inlet with the unit running.
Switching On / Off
If the unit does not start, e.g. after not being used for
a longer time, disconnect the air supply and turn the
tool holder 1 by hand. Adhesive forces are eliminated
in this manner.
For an interruption of the air supply or reduced
operating pressure, switch off the machine.
Check the operating pressure and start again
when the pressure returns to normal.
The switching on and off of the unit takes place by
switching the compressed air supply on or off.

Working Instructions

Before performing any work on the unit itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Direction of Rotation
Depending on the desired direction of rotation,
connect the air supply to the left or the right hose
connection piece.
Excess loads that cause the machine to stall or reduce
speed will not damage the motor.

... 311 / ... 312 / ... 326
Type 0 607 954 304 / ... 305
Rotation to the right:
Connect the air supply hose to the hose
connection 3.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
With a clamping device in the area 2, this counter
force can more easily be counteracted.
Take care that the auxiliary handle or the clamping
device holds the unit in a firm and secure manner.

Type 0 607 954 306 / ... 307
Rotation to the right:
Connect the air supply hose to the hose
connection 3.
Rotation to the left:
Connect the air supply hose to the hose
connection 4.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
With a clamping device in the area 2, this counter
force can more easily be counteracted.
Take care that the auxiliary handle or the clamping
device holds the unit in a firm and secure manner.
Torque
The rotational torque is controllable by means of the
operating pressure.
The stated no-load rotational speed is achieved with
the silencer connected. If the silencer is removed, the
speed must be checked. Excessive speed is to be
reduced to the rated speed with a choke.
Excessive speed causes unnecessary noise and
shortens the service life of the unit.
Extraction of the Exhaust Air
After removing the silencer 5 a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Advantages:
Noise reduction
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
Exhaust air led away.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before performing any work on the unit itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Keep the unit and the tool holder clean at all times.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorised customer services agent
for Bosch pneumatic tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, always
include the 10-digit order number of the machine.
Lubrication
Lubricant:
Special gearbox grease
225 ml . . . . . . . . . . . . .3 605 430 009
SAE 10/SAE 20 motor oil
Wash out the gearbox with petroleum after the first
approx. 150 hours of operation and then every 300
hours of operation and lubricate with special gearbox
grease.
Any Bosch customer service centre can perform this
work quickly and reliably.
Dispose of lubricants and cleaning agents in an
environmentally correct manner. Observe legal
regulations.
