Installation instructions drive set DirectPower
 The torque sensor is an external product and does not come from
HEINZMANN. It may come from different manufacturers depending
on the system setup.
The documents and instructions published by the relevant
manufacturer must therefore be consulted.
 In all cases, the bottom tube on the frame must be given a hole big
enough to fit the cable or plug of the torque sensor through.
NOTE:
Directing this hole straight downwards has proven to be a
successful solution. The torque sensor cable should be fed
directly from the sensor out of the bottom tube where
possible and not wrapped around the sensor.
Only correct installation of the torque sensor ensures its
poper and reliable function. In particular the torque sensors
adequate orientation in relation to the crank is highly
important. Strictly refer to advice in the installation manual
of the torque sensor manufacturer. (TDCM, BBTS)
 The pedalling sensor and the sensor disk are external products and do
not come from HEINZMANN. They may come from different
manufacturers depending on the system setup.
Following mounting instructions work well in practice. For special
cases refer to documents and instructions published by the relevant
manufacturer.
 For the pedalling sensor, the sensor disk must be mounted on the
bottom bracket shaft. For this purpose the bicycle must be fitted with a
square-taper bottom bracket with a right-hand stop collar and enough
length of square taper for the right-hand crank arm.
Minimum dimensions:
a > 16 mm
b < 4 mm
c : must be larger than
the crank eye width + the width of the sensor disk
so the sensor disk can be mounted
 Remove chain guard, if any is present.
 Dismantle the chain and crankset.
 Unscrew the bottom bracket from the bottom bracket shell with a
suitable bottom bracket tool (caution: left-handed thread!).
 Remove the chain guard support,
Push the pedalling sensor loop onto the bottom bracket as far as the
stop collar, The coloured signal lights on the sensor must point to the
bicycle frame. Push the chain guard support back onto the bottom
bracket.
 Now screw the bottom bracket back into its shell and tighten with the
bottom bracket tool (torque setting as directed by manufacturer).
