Preparing cappuccinos

• Open the lid of the jug and screw the capuccino unit clockwise onto
the riser within the jug.
• Now screw the jug onto the reservoir filled with water.
• Be careful to ensure that the marker point
vertically opposite that for "Closed" .
• Pour approx. 190ml fresh milk into the jug.
• Subsequently, secure the lid of the jug again and ensure this remains
closed without fail during the heating process!
• Be careful to ensure that the safety valve of the reservoir and the jug
spout are not directed at people! Risk of burns from escaping steam!
• Place the device on the base unit. When doing so, the guard socket of
the base unit must be connected to the interconnecting opening of the
device.
• Switch on the device by using the On/Off switch (ON = switch to On).
The operating lamp within the switch then lights up and the device begins
heating up the water.
• The device is equipped with an automatic stop motion mechanism.
This means that the device automatically switches itself off as soon the
water goes out from the reservoir into the jug. When the device switches
itself off, the operating lamp goes out.
• Subsequently, lift the device from the base unit and pour a capuccino
into a cup.
• Always unplug the device after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION! Always unplug the device before cleaning and allow it to
thoroughly cool down.
• The base unit, power cord and plug must not be soaked in water or any other liquid during
cleaning. Clean these using a dry cloth.
• Unscrew the jug from the reservoir and remove the accessories.
• Clean the reservoir, jug and accessory with warm water, an appropriate detergent and a soft cloth.
• When cleaning, do not use any harsh cleaning agent, wire brush, abrasives or other hard objects,
which could scratch the surfaces.
• Do not clean the reservoir, jug and accessory in a full sink. When cleaning in the washing up water,
food residues may remain in the pressure valve or filter holes and block them.
• Remain constantly alert to ensure no cleaning material or espresso powder residue remains in the
pressure valve.
• When cleaning, regularly check the function of the safety valve. Be careful to ensure that the safety
valve is clean and in good working order. Check the state of the filter funnel, the filter slab and the
rubber ring. If you notice any damage or wear and tear, do not continue using the device for your
own safety! Damaged or worn parts cannot be replaced.
• Be careful to ensure no moisture penetrates the inside of the device in the area of the On/Off
switch.
• Dry the device components as soon as possible after cleaning, since water spotting stains may
otherwise result. Keep the parts separated, so that any moisture present in the areas between can
be dried.
• The espresso maker is not designed to be cleaned in a dishwasher.
