Basic safety precautions must be observed when using electrical devices. To avoid the
danger of burns, electric shocks, fires and/or personal injury, please carefully read
through this instruction manual before using the device and observe all instructions
when using the device.
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
When this device is passed on to another person, please also supply this instruction
manual with the device.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Only connect the device to a plug that has been installed in accordance with regulations. Do not
use any desk socket or extension cable.
• The voltage specified on the nameplate of the device must correspond to that of your mains
supply.
• Be careful when running the power cable that there is no risk of it causing a trip hazard during
operation of the device.
• Keep the power cord well away from hot surfaces and naked flames, as well as sharp edges.
• Never touch the base unit, power cord and mains plug with moist or wet hands.
• Never immerse the base unit, power cord and mains plug in water or other liquids. There is a risk
of fatal electric shock!
• When you pull out the plug, always grip the plug and never the cable.
• Do not place the device in the vicinity of heat sources or a naked flame.
• Do not use the device outside.
• Only use the device with the accessories designed for it.
• Please always remember that the espresso maker operated on a pressurized basis. Be careful
to ensure that the device components are thoroughly and correctly assembled and that the filter
attachment and pressure valve in the reservoir are not blocked in any way.
• Pay attention to the full mark of the device. If there is an insufficient amount of water, the device
may overheat. Using too much water may adversely affect the function of the pressure valve in the
reservoir.
