4 Telephoning

Making a call using the receiver or handsfree feature

The telephone can be used like any conventional telephone and, in additi-
on, has some useful special features, which make phoning considerably
easier for you. You have two ways of making a call:
Making a call using the receiver
1 Lift the receiver and wait until you hear a dialling tone.
2 Now dial the required telephone number.
3 If the receiver volume is too quiet or too loud, you can change this to suit
your requirements with the volume button (3). Press the button repeated-
ly until the desired volume is set.
4 To end the call, replace the receiver.

If you want to change during a call from the receiver to the handsfree
facility, press the handsfree button and replace the receiver on the rest.
Making a call using the handsfree facility
1 Press the handsfree button. You will hear the dialling tone from the in-
built loudspeaker.
2 Now dial the required telephone number.
If the other party accepts the call, his voice will be heard over the in-built
loudspeaker. When using the handsfree facility always speak loudly and
clearly towards the telephone. You can change the volume to suit your
requirements with the volume button (3). Press the button repeatedly
until the desired volume is set.
3 To end the call, press the handsfree button or replace the receiver.
