Operating and control elements

The ED4100/50 is monitored and operated
by three indicator lamps and a function but-
ton (TEST) (see Fig. 4).
Indicator lamp, Item 4a:

Power LED lights when power is applied to
the condensate drain.
Indicator lamp, Item 4b:

Valve LED lights when the valve is open.
Indicator lamp, Item 4c:
▌
Alarm LED is permanently on, the LED is
off when there is a fault.
Function button, Item 4d:

The TEST button:
The valve is opened manually when the

TEST button is briefly pressed
The valve remains open until the test
-
button is pressed again. The condensate
can drain off completely. After shutting
off the inlet and vent line, this function
is also used to relief the pressure in the
condensate drain.

Installation
Important - qualification!
All work at the pipelines and on the
electrical components must be car-
ried out by authorised and suitably
qualified technical personnel.
Requirements
For proper installation of the condensate
drain, the operator must provide the follow-
ing.
The condensate drain must be installed

in a weather-protected environment with
ambient temperatures above freezing.
A heater must be installed at ambient tem-
▌
peratures below freezing.
The inlet line and, if necessary, the vent
▌
line must each be equipped with a shut-off
valve which can disconnect the drain from
the compressed air system.
All lines and connections must be adjusted
▌
to the actual operating pressure.
No vibration or oscillation must be
▌
transferred via the piping system to the
condensate drain.
Ensure that the condensate drain is con-
▌
nected to the specified mains voltage.

We recommend using the supplied wall
mounting bracket (Fig. 17, Item 15) to
mount the condensate drain on a wall.
To avoid damage to the ED4100/50
due to transmitted vibration. Flexible
hoses should be used for the inlet and
vent lines.
