Safety instructions

Danger of injury!
• Because of the high operating forces and the
associated risks, this product is not suitable for
use by children and persons with physical
and/or mental limitations.
• Before use, check the article and especially
the connecting points for damage or wear.
Defective articles may not be used any further
and must be disposed of, since a defective
article cannot be repaired.
• Risk of burns! Because of friction, the
pump piston and the pump cylinder may heat
up after pumping for a time. After use, grasp
the article only by the foot pedal.
• After pumping some 80 times, a 2-minute
cooling phase must be allowed. Inflate only
up to the maximum pressure permitted by the
manufacturer. With bicycle tyres, this infor-
mation is usually found on the sidewall of the
tyre.
• During inflation, pay attention to the pump's
pressure reading and to the article that you
are inflating. With over-inflation there is a risk
of explosion!
• The pressure must be controlled using a cali-
brated measuring device.
Set-up
Caution! The article is spring-tension
loaded and springs open rapidly when
opened.
Place the article on the ground.
Press the foot pedal (1) downwards with one
hand and release the retaining bracket (2)
(fig. B) with the other hand. To fasten the pump,
proceed in reverse order.
Use
The article may only be used on a level, stable
surface. The pump hose (3) may not be kinked.
Use the tread surface at a regular pace and not
too fast when inflating an object.
Apply pressure on the centre of the tread surface
in order to avoid tilting.
Note: There is a red mark (9) on the manometer
display in the form of an arrow. You can use
this as a visual mark to set the desired maximum
pressure. In order to do this, turn the casing on
the manometer to the left or right (figure C).
Please note that the setting of the mark is for
orientation only and does not influence the
pump function.
• Risk of squashed
hand! Only for
operation using the
feet. Not suitable for
manual use.
