Function
This train offers the following features:
G It can be operated with conventional AC power
(Transformer 32 VA no. 6646/6647), Märklin DELTA
or Märklin Digital. This train is not designed for
operation with locomotive controllers of other
makes and systems (example: DC power, pulse
width control, etc.). The complete range of working
functions for this train is only available, when the
train is operated with the 6021 Control Unit in
Märklin Digital.
G Automatic recognition of the mode of operation.
G 80 Digital (5 DELTA) addresses that can be set
with the coding switches on the locomotive and
function decoders.
Locomotive no. 2 offers these features:
G Built-in high-efficiency propulsion with adjustable
maximum speed and adjustable acceleration and
braking delay. The braking delay is in principle
only effective when the train is operated with
Märklin Digital and Märklin DELTA.
G Address set at the factory: 33.
G Built-in headlights on the end of the locomotive
with the short hood. Whether these lights are on
or off depends on the mode of operation in use
(=> additional information on page 9).
G Built-in auxiliary lights and warning light. Whether
these lights are on or off depends on the mode
of operation in use (=> additional information
on page 9).
G Märklin close coupler, no. 701 630, at both ends
of this locomotive.
Possible only in digital operation with
the 6021 Control Unit:
G The acceleration / braking delay can be minimized
for switching operations (low speed range).
