22 TDR SET - MANUAL / AUTOMAT
This function designates the main frequency A/B
MANUAL
: with the A/B key the main frequency is defined
AUTOMAT
: the frequency that receives a signal is
automatically the main frequency
23 POWSAVE - ON / OFF
With Power Save on, the radio switches automatically to stand-by
mode for reduction of currency consumption.
24 RESET - ALL / VFO
reset to default settings
Please note: a reset cannot be reversed. Lost data cannot be retrieved.
VFO
: only available in the -H version - all frequencies are deleted.
ALL
: all default settings are set.
25 TAIL - ON / OFF
Squelch Tail Elimination (STE) improves the signal quality. The,
sometimes annoying, clicking sound at the end of the carrier wave can
can be eliminated with the function.
Notice: for repeater operation, this function should be disabled.
26 CTCSCAN - WAIT
on the actual channel, a CTCSS code is searched. If not signal is
found, the wording WAIT is displayed. Once a signal is detected, the
code is displayed the and scanning resumes.
27 DCSSCAN - WAIT
on the actual channel, a CTCSS code is searched. If no signal is
found, WAIT is displayed. Once a signal is detected, the code is
displayed and scanning resumes.

VFO Mode
PLEASE NOTE: only available in the amateur radio version TeCom-DB-H
Frequency Entry
In single band mode, the tx and rx frequencies of one channel can differ.
1. Switch to single band mode with the TDR key [TDR] (7).
2. Enter the rx frequency first, then, the tx frequency. Frequencies are
automatically stored.
Frequency Reverse
If different rx and tx frequencies are used for one channel, frequency re-
verse is available in single band mode.
Hold the reverse key [#SET] (11). The display will show TgR?. Continue
holding the reverse key until the single band frequency display returns.
Now, rx and tx frequencies are reversed. The letter R appears on the
upper side of the display.
To return to the original rx-tx setup, press the reverse key [#SET] (11)
again.
PLEASE NOTE: all frequency relevant settings, e.g. CTCSS codes are af-
fected by the reverse function.
Storage of Frequencies
To store manually set frequencies, press the menu key [MENU] (6) follo-
wed by the TDR key [TDR] (11).
Next, select the channel number where this frequency should be stored
and save this setting with the TDR key [TDR] (11).
