6. Installation and initial use

 Before using the appliance for the first time, clean all removable parts (cover,
splash guard lid and stirrer) and the aluminium bowl in the appliance with a soft
cloth and standard washing-up liquid. Allow everything to dry thoroughly.
 Place the ice cream maker onto a level, non-slip and heat-resistant surface.
 Attach the motor block to the cover.
 Place the splash guard lid onto the cover.
 Attach the stirrer to the splash guard lid.
 Fill the ice cream maker.
 Place the completely installed cover onto the housing so that the stirrer is locat-
ed in the aluminium bowl.
The appliance is now ready for use.
The appliance is driven by an electric motor. This can lead to a slight
smell during initial operation. This smell is normal and is not a sign of a
malfunctioning appliance. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
6.1.
 Fill the aluminium bowl in the ice cream maker, e.g. with 100 ml of milk, 100 ml
of cream and three tablespoons of sugar.
 Use the supplied measuring cup or spoon for measuring out the ingredients.
Observe the filling capacity of 300 ml.
 Place the cover with the motor block and stirrer onto the ice cream maker.
 Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket.
 As soon as the plug is connected to the socket, the appliance will beep and the
button lights up in red.
 Select the desired preparation option by pressing the ice cream button or the
soft ice cream button. The buttons light up in green once pressed.
 The ice cream maker will now start to prepare the ice cream.
 The temperature in the aluminium bowl is cooled down to -15 °C within two
hours.
 You can stop the ice cream maker before this time has elapsed by pressing the
stop button.
 When the machine is stopped, you can add additional ingredients to the ice
cream, e.g. strawberries.
If the ice cream is too thick and blocks the motor, the appliance will
beep 15 times and the relevant button will flash in yellow. The ice cream
will still be cooled down to the desired consistency.
