Before first Use
Take the unit out of the package and check for any damage in transit.
Operation
1. Place the soldering station on a solid, level surface. Plug the power plug
into a wall socket.
2. Allow some solder to melt on the heated desoldering tip (F) and let it flow
around the tip until an even film has formed around the entire tip.
3. Press with your thumb the push button (A) on the suction pump (C) until is
locks audible.
4. Place the desoldering tip (F) in the centre of the point to be desoldered
and evenly heat up the soldering point.
5. Move the desoldering tip lightly back and forth until the tin melts (approx.
1 – 3 seconds).
6. Press the releasing button (B) in order o suck the melted tin from the
soldering point. Repeat this process until the soldering point is completely
clean.
7. To switch off, pull the plug form the wall socket and allow the desoldering
tip to cool down fully before storing the unit.
Changing and Cleaning the Desoldering Tip
1. To change the desoldering tip and before touching the desoldering tip,
allow the desoldering iron to cool down to room temperature. Unscrew
both screws with a suitable screwdriver and remove the desoldering tip.
2. Slide a new desoldering tip into the heater, as far as it will go.
3. To remove obstructions, clean the desoldering tip with the included
cleaning needle. To clean the desoldering tip, first heat up the unit.
