7 Einstellen der Frequenzweichen
In jedem der Kanäle 1–3 ist eine Frequenzweiche
integriert, die sich mit den Schaltern HI PASS (3 +11)
bzw. LOW PASS (16) ein- und ausschalten läßt.
Wird eine Frequenzweiche nicht benötigt, den ent-
sprechenden Schalter in die Position OFF stellen.
7.1 Kanal 1 mit Frequenzweiche für Hochtöner
Die Hauptlautsprecher können durch Hochtöner
unterstützt werden:
1) Die Hochtöner mit dem Kanal 1 verbinden, An-
schlüsse (26).
2) Den Schalter INPUT SELECTOR (2) in die Posi-
tion CH1/CH2 stellen.
3) Den Schalter HI PASS (3) in die Position ON stel-
len.
4) Mit dem Regler HI PASS (4) die Frequenz einstel-
len, bei der die Hochtöner anfangen zu arbeiten
(Abb. 9a). Diese ist aus den technischen Daten
der Hochtöner ersichtlich.
7.2 Kanal 3 mit Frequenzweiche für Subwoofer
Werden Subwoofer eingesetzt, sind folgende Ein-
stellungen notwendig:
1) Die (den) Subwoofer mit dem Kanal 3 verbinden,
Anschlüsse (28).
2) Den Schalter INPUT SELECTOR (10) in die Posi-
tion CH2/CH3 stellen.
3) Den Schalter LOW PASS (16) in die Position ON
stellen.
4) Mit dem Regler LOW PASS (17) die Frequenz
einstellen, bei der die Subwoofer aufhören zu
arbeiten (Abb. 9c). Diese ist aus den technischen
Daten der Subwoofer ersichtlich.
7.3 Kanal 2 mit Frequenzweiche für die Haupt-
lautsprecher
Wenn Subwoofer angeschlossen sind, brauchen die
Hauptlautsprecher nicht mehr den Frequenzbereich
der (des) Subwoofer(s) zu übertragen. Dadurch
steht mehr Ausgangsleistung für die Hauptlautspre-
cher zur Verfügung.
7 Adjusting the Crossover Networks
In each of the channels 1–3 a crossover network is
integrated which can be switched on or off with the
switches HI PASS (3 +11) resp. LOW PASS (16). If a
crossover network is not necessary, set the corre-
sponding switch to position OFF.
7.1 Channel 1 with crossover network for
tweeters
The main speakers may be supported by tweeters:
1) Connect the tweeters with channel 1, connections
(26).
2) Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (2) to position
CH1/CH2.
3) Set the switch HI PASS (3) to position ON.
4) With the control HI PASS (4) adjust the frequency
at which the tweeters start to work (fig. 9a). This
can be taken from the specifications of the
tweeters.
7.2 Channel 3 with crossover network for
subwoofer/s
If subwoofers are used, the following adjustments
are necessary:
1) Connect the subwoofer/s with channel 3, connec-
tions (28).
2) Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (10) to position
CH2/CH3.
3) Set the switch LOW PASS (16) to position ON.
4) With the control LOW PASS (17) adjust the fre-
quency at which the subwoofers stop to work (fig.
9c). This can be taken from the specifications for
the subwoofers.
7.3 Channel 2 with crossover network for the
main speakers
If subwoofers are connected, the main speakers do
not have to transfer the frequency range of the sub-
woofer/s any more. Thus more output power for the
main speakers is available.

2) Den Schalter HI PASS (11) in die Position ON
stellen.
3) Mit dem Regler HI PASS (12) die Frequenz ein-
stellen, bei der die Subwoofer aufhören zu arbei-
ten (Abb. 9b).
8 Inbetriebnahme
Vor dem ersten Einschalten sollte die komplette
Verdrahtung des Boosters noch einmal auf Rich-
tigkeit überprüft werden. Erst dann die Minus-
klemme der Autobatterie wieder anschließen.
Jeder der Kanäle 1–3 ist mit den Reglern GAIN,
BASS und TREBLE ausgestattet. Vor dem ersten
Betrieb diese Regler zunächst auf Minimum (Links-
anschlag) drehen. Dann mit den Reglern folgende
Einstellungen vornehmen:
1) Das Autoradio auf größte Lautstärke stellen, und
mit den Reglern GAIN jeden Kanal soweit aus-
steuern, daß er gerade nicht verzerrt.
2) Bei mittlerer Lautstärke jeweils den Regler GAIN
des lautesten Kanals zurückregeln, so daß alle
Kanäle die gleiche Lautstärke abgeben. Bei
Mehrwegsystemen kann aber auch ein Kanal
etwas angehoben werden, um so z. B. stärkere
Bässe zu erhalten.
3) Die tiefsten Bässe (50 Hz) lassen sich, zusätzlich
zur Klangreglung am Autoradio, mit den Reglern
BASS anheben.
Der Regler BASS des Kanals 1 ist jedoch ohne
Funktion, wenn der Hochpaß mit dem Schalter
HI PASS (3) eingeschaltet ist.
Der Regler BASS des Kanals 2 hat bei einge-
schaltetem Hochpaß (11) - in Abhängigkeit von
der Stellung des Reglers (12) - nur einen gerin-
gen Einfluß auf die Baßanhebung.
4) Die oberen Höhen (12 kHz) lassen sich, zusätz-
lich zur Klangreglung am Autoradio, mit den Reg-
lern TREBLE anheben.
Der Regler TREBLE des Kanals 3 ist jedoch ohne

8 Setting into Operation
Prior to the first switching on, the complete wiring
of the booster should be checked again for correct-
ness. Only then connect the negative terminal of
the car battery again.
Each of the channels 1–3 is equipped with the con-
trols GAIN, BASS and TREBLE. Prior to the first
operation turn these controls to minimum (left stop)
at first. Then carry out the following adjustments with
the controls:
1) Set the car radio to the highest volume, and drive
each channel with the controls GAIN so far that
there is just no distortion.
2) With medium volume turn back the control GAIN
of the loudest channel so that all channels deliver
the same volume. With multi-way systems one
channel can also slightly be boosted to obtain
e. g. more powerful bass frequencies by this way.
3) The lowest frequencies (50 Hz) can be boosted
with the controls BASS, in addition to the equal-
izer at the car radio.
However, the control BASS of channel 1 is out of
function if the high pass is switched on with the
switch HI PASS (3).
The control BASS of channel 2 only has a slight
influence on the bass boosting with the high pass
(11) switched on - depending on the position of
the control (12).
4) The upper high frequencies (12 kHz) can be
boosted with the controls TREBLE, in addition to
the equalizer at the car radio.
However, the control TREBLE of channel 3 is out
of function, if the low pass is switched on with the
switch LOW PASS (16).
Funktion, wenn der Tiefpaß mit dem Schalter
LOW PASS (16) eingeschaltet ist.
9 Fehlerbeseitigung
Ein Fehler läßt sich schneller lokalisieren, wenn die
LEDs des Boosters betrachtet werden:
9.1 Keine LED leuchtet
1) Die Sicherungen am Booster (22 + 32) und die
Vorsicherungen an der Autobatterie überprüfen.
Defekte Sicherungen auswechseln.
2) Die 12-V-Stromversorgungskabel sowie die Mas-
sekabel auf korrekten Anschluß und Unterbre-
chung kontrollieren.
3) Überprüfen, ob an den Anschlüssen RMT (25
bzw. 29) +12 V anliegt. Wenn nicht, die Leitung
am Anschluß RMT entfernen und kurz die An-
schlüsse RMT und BATT (24 bzw. 30) über-
brücken. Schaltet der Booster jetzt ein, fehlt die
Steuerspannung. Den Steuerausgang des Auto-
radios (bzw. den separaten Schalter oder das
Zündschloß) und das entsprechende Anschluß-
kabel zum Booster überprüfen.
9.2 Nur eine grüne LED (6 oder 19) leuchtet
Nur LED (19) leuchtet: Kanäle 1 und 2 arbeiten nicht.
Nur LED (6) leuchtet: Kanal 3 arbeitet nicht.
1) Die entsprechende Sicherung am Booster (22
bzw. 32) und die entsprechende Vorsicherung an
der Autobatterie überprüfen. Defekte Sicherun-
gen auswechseln.
2) Das entsprechende 12-V-Stromversorgungska-
bel sowie das entsprechende Massekabel auf
korrekten Anschluß und Unterbrechung kontrol-
lieren.
9.3 Die grünen LEDs (6 und 19) leuchten,
aber kein Ton
1) Lautsprecher, Lautsprecherleitungen und deren
korrekten Anschluß überprüfen. Besonders beim
Brückenbetrieb ist der richtige Lautsprecheran-
schluß äußerst wichtig.
9 Trouble Shooting
An error can more quickly be located watching the
booster LEDs:
9.1 No LED is lighting
1) Check the fuses at the booster (22 + 32) and the
additional fuses at the car battery. Replace de-
fective fuses.
2) Check the 12 V power supply cables as well as
the ground cables for correct connection and for
interruption.
3) Check if the connections RMT (25 resp. 29) carry
+12 V. If not, remove the cable at connection RMT
and shortly bridge the connections RMT and
BATT (24 resp. 30). If the booster now switches
on, there is no remote control voltage. Check the
control output of the car radio (resp. the separate
switch or the ignition key lock) and the corres-
ponding connection cable to the booster.
9.2 Only a green LED (6 or 19) is lighting
Only LED (19) is lighting: channels 1 and 2 do not
work.
Only LED (6) is lighting: channel 3 does not work.
1) Check the corresponding fuse at the booster (22
resp. 32) and the corresponding additional fuse at
the car battery. Replace defective fuses.
2) Check the corresponding 12 V power supply cable
as well as the corresponding ground cable for cor-
rect connection and for interruption.
9.3 The green LEDs (6 and 19) are lighting,
but no sound
1) Check speakers, speaker cables and their correct
connection. Especially with bridge operation the
correct speaker connection is of great impor-
tance.
2) Check the connections to the booster inputs and
the necessary switch position of the switches
INPUT SELECTOR (2 +10).
3) Check the car radio outputs.
