6.1.4 Anschlüsse GND (23 + 31)
Die beiden Masseanschlüsse GND über entspre-
chend dicke Kabel (gleicher Querschnitt wie die
12-V-Stromversorgungskabel) mit der Masse des
Fahrzeugs oder direkt mit der Minusklemme der
Autobatterie verbinden.
liche Frequenzweiche).

6.1.4 Connections GND (23 + 31)
Connect both ground connections GND via cables of
corresponding thickness (same cross section as the
12 V power supply cables) with the ground of the car
or directly with the negative terminal of the car bat-
tery. To avoid ground loops, the ground of the car
radio must be placed at the spot where also the
booster is connected to ground.
6.2 Inputs
The booster is connected via phono cables with the
line outputs at the car radio. If there are no line out-
puts at the car radio, the speaker outputs of the car
radio may be connected via a corresponding trans-
former (e. g. MONACOR FGA-20) with the booster
inputs.
6.2.1 How to pass different signals to the
channels
If the channels 1-3 are to receive different input sig-
nals, both switches INPUT SELECTOR (2 +10) must
be set to position NORMAL and all jacks INPUT (1,
9, 15) must be connected. This is necessary, if e. g.
at the car radio six outputs are available or additio-
nally an active crossover network is connected
ahead.
6.2.2 How to distribute one signal to several
channels
With the switches INPUT SELECTOR (2 +10) one
signal can be passed to two or three channels (e. g.
when using a subwoofer or constructing an active 3-
way system without additional crossover network).
6
Ein Stereo-Signal auf die Kanäle 1 und 2 verteilen:
Den Schalter INPUT SELECTOR (2) in die Position
CH1/CH2 schieben. Das Signal auf eines der Buch-
senpaare INPUT (1) oder (9) geben.
Ein Stereo-Signal auf die Kanäle 2 und 3 verteilen:
Den Schalter INPUT SELECTOR (10) in die Position
CH2/CH3 schieben. Das Signal auf eines der Buch-
2
senpaare INPUT (9) oder (15) geben.
Ein Stereo-Signal auf die Kanäle 1, 2 und 3 verteilen:
Den Schalter INPUT SELECTOR (2) in die Position
CH1/CH2 schieben und den Schalter (10) in die
Position CH2/CH3.
1) Kanal 1 für den linken Vollbereichslautsprecher;
auf beide Buchsen INPUT L und R (1) das Ein-
gangssignal für den linken Kanal geben.
2) Kanal 2 für den rechten Vollbereichslautsprecher;
auf beide Buchsen INPUT L und R (9) das Ein-
gangssignal für den rechten Kanal geben.
To distribute a stereo signal to the channels 1 and 2:
Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (2) to position
CH1/CH2. Pass the signal to one of the pair of jacks
(1) or (9).
To distribute a stereo signal to the channels 2 and 3:
2
Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (10) to the posi-
tion CH2/CH3. Pass the signal to one of the pair of
jacks (9) or (15).
To distribute a stereo signal to the channels 1, 2 and 3:
Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (2) in the position
CH1/CH2 and the switch (10) to the position
CH2/CH3. Pass the signal to one of the pair of jacks
INPUT (1), (9) or (15).
6.2.3 Bridge operation
Each stereo channel 1-3 can also work in mono
bridge operation and then deliver double power at
the output.
Example A, channel 3 for a subwoofer works in
bridge operation (fig. 7):
1) Channel 1 for the front speakers; pass the input
signal to the jacks INPUT (1) for the front speak-
ers. Set the switch INPUT SELECTOR (2) to posi-
tion NORMAL.
2) Channel 2 for the rear speakers; pass the input
signal for the rear speakers to the jacks INPUT (9).
3) Channel 3 for a subwoofer; set the switch INPUT
SELECTOR (10) to position CH2/CH3.
Example B, all channels work in bridge operation:
Pass the input signal for the corresponding channel
via a Y cable (e. g. MONACOR CBA-20) to both
jacks INPUT L and R.
1) Channel 1 for the left full range speaker; pass the
input signal for the left channel to both jacks
INPUT L and R (1)
2) Channel 2 for the right full range speaker, pass
the input signal for the right channel to both jacks
INPUT L and R (9).
3) Channel 3 for a subwoofer; pass the input signal
for the left channel to the jack INPUT L (15) and
6.3.1 Stereobetrieb
Die Lautsprecher müssen mit mindestens folgender
Sinusleistung belastbar sein, wenn sie an einen
Kanal angeschlossen werden, der im Stereobetrieb
arbeitet:
Kanal 1 und 2: 50 W
Kanal 3:
75 W
Anschlüsse:
L+ = + linker Lautsprecher
L- = - linker Lautsprecher
R- = - rechter Lautsprecher
R+ = + rechter Lautsprecher
6.3.2 Brückenbetrieb
Die Lautsprecher müssen mit mindestens folgender
Sinusleistung belastbar sein, wenn sie an einen
Kanal angeschlossen werden, der im Brückenbe-
trieb arbeitet:
Kanal 1 und 2: 100 W
Kanal 3:
150 W
Anschlüsse:
L+ = bleibt frei
L- = - Lautsprecher
R- = bleibt frei
R+ = + Lautsprecher
the signal for the right channel to the jack INPUT
R (15).
4) Set both switches INPUT SELECTOR (2 +10) to
position NORMAL.
6.3 Speakers
The greatest output power is obtained if 4 Ω speak-
ers are connected. However, also 8 Ω speakers may
be connected, in this case the output power is re-
duced. Always connect all speakers with 2 wires, i. e.
never connect the negative connection of a speaker
output (L- or R-) with the negative connection of
another output or with ground!
6.3.1 Stereo operation
The speakers must at least have the following rms
power capability if connected to a channel working in
stereo operation:
Channels 1 and 2: 50 W
Channel 3
75 W
Connections:
L+ = + left speaker
L- = - left speaker
R- = - right speaker
R+ = + right speaker
6.3.2 Bridge operation
The speakers must at least have the following rms
power capability if connected to a channel working in
bridge operation:
Channels 1 and 2: 100 W
Channel 3:
150 W
Connections:
L+ = not connected
L- = - speaker
R- = not connected
R+ = + speaker
