SCOOTER CARE AND STORAGE

Storage

Short-term
Always store your scooter in a cool, dry
place and, if necessary, protect it
against dust with a scooter cover.
CAUTION:
Please store the scooter in a
well air flow room with dry air
if possible. A place with wet hu-
midity will cause rust.
To prevent corrosion, avoid
damp cellars, stables (because
of the presence of ammonia) and
areas where strong chemicals
are stored.
Long-term
Before storing your scooter for several
months:
1. Follow all the instructions in the
"Clean" section of this chapter.
2. Drain out the fuel from the carburetor
float chamber by loosening the drain
bolt. It will prevent fuel deposits and
cause the hard engine start after-
ward. Pour the drained fuel into the
fuel tank.
