D 6.1.2 Masseanschluss
Den Masseanschluss GND (16) über ein Kabel mit

einem Querschnitt von mindestens 20 mm
CPC-200/SW*) mit der Masse des Autos oder bes-

ser direkt mit der Minusklemme der Autobatterie ver-
binden. Hinweise:
1. Bei Verwendung der Karosserie als Massean-
schluss muss die verwendete Stelle einen guten
elektrischen Kontakt zur Hauptkarosserie aufwei-
sen (z. B. durch ausreichend viele Schweiß-
punkte). Eventueller Lack am Kontaktpunkt muss
vollständig entfernt werden.
2. Zur Vermeidung von Masseschleifen muss die
Masse des Autoradios an die Stelle gelegt wer-
den, an der auch die Endstufe an Masse liegt.
6.1.3 Steuerspannung zum Einschalten
Die Car-HiFi-Endstufe wird durch eine Steuerspan-
nung von +12 V am Anschluss REM (17) ein- und
ausgeschaltet. Den Anschluss REM mit dem 12-V-
Schaltausgang vom Autoradio verbinden (Anschluss
für eine Motorantenne, eventuell mit der Motoran-
tenne parallel schalten).
6.2 Line-Ein- und Ausgang
1) Die beiden Eingangsbuchsen INPUT (3) über
Cinch-Kabel mit den Line-Ausgängen am Auto-
radio verbinden oder falls vorhanden, mit den
Ausgängen für einen Subwoofer-Verstärker. Sind
am Autoradio keine Line-Ausgänge vorhanden,
können die Lautsprecherausgänge des Autora-
dios über einen entsprechenden Übertrager
(z. B. FGA-22HQ*) mit den Eingängen der End-
stufe verbunden werden.
2) Der Line-Eingang der Endstufe für die Hauptlaut-
sprecher kann über ein Cinch-Kabel an die Buch-
sen LINE OUT (2) angeschlossen werden. Das
Ausgangssignal an diesen Buchsen ist von der
Stellung des Schalters FULL RANGE/HP > 80 Hz
(1) abhängig:

6.1.2 Ground connection

Connect the ground terminal GND (16) via a cable
with a minimum cross section of 20 mm
200/SW*) to the ground of the car or better directly
to the negative terminal of the car battery. Notes:
1. When using the chassis as a ground connection,
the place used must have a good electrical con-
tact to the main chassis (e. g. by a sufficient num-
ber of welding points). Any lacquer at the point of
contact must completely be removed.
2. To avoid ground loops, the ground of the car
radio must be applied at the place where also the
power amplifier is grounded.
6.1.3 Control voltage for switching-on
The car HiFi power amplifier is switched on and off
by a control voltage of +12 V at the terminal REM
(17). Connect the terminal REM to the 12 V control
output of the car radio (connection for a motor
antenna, if necessary, to be connected in parallel to
the motor antenna).
6.2 Line input and output
1) Connect the two jacks INPUT (3) via cables with
phono connectors to the line outputs at the car
radio or, if provided, to the outputs for a subwoof-
er amplifier. However, if the car radio is not
equipped with line outputs, the speaker outputs
of the car radio can be connected via a corre-
sponding transformer (e. g. FGA-22HQ*) to the
inputs of the power amplifier.
2) The line input of the power amplifier for the main
speakers can be connected via a cable with
phono connectors to the jacks LINE OUT (2). The
output signal at these jacks depends on the posi-
tion of the switch FULL RANGE/HP > 80 Hz (1):
FULL RANGE no filter switched on

6.3 Lautsprecher
Den Subwoofer (Impedanz min. 2 Ω) mit den An-
schlüssen SPEAKER + und - (21) verbinden. Die bei-
den Anschlusspaare sind parallel geschaltet, so dass
bei Bedarf auch zwei Subwoofer mit einer Impedanz
von mindestens 4 Ω angeschlossen werden können.
Wichtig! Bei der Auswahl geeigneter Lautspre-
cher unbedingt deren mechanische und
elektrische Belastbarkeit im Zusam-
menhang mit der genutzten Endstufen-
leistung berücksichtigen (siehe auch
technische Daten der Endstufe Seite 7).
6.4 Brückenbetrieb
Mit einer zweiten D-REX/1202 lässt sich die Aus-
gangsleistung im Brückenbetrieb auf über 2 kW an
4 Ω verdoppeln. Die Impedanz des Subwoofers darf
im Brückenbetrieb 4 Ω nicht unterschreiten. Die Ver-
drahtung für den Brückenbetrieb ist in der Abb. 4 dar-
gestellt. Die Verbindungen, die von denen im Nor-
malbetrieb abweichen, sind dicker eingezeichnet.
Für die Verbindung der Buchsen LINK (20) zwi-
schen den Endstufen liegt in der Verpackung ein pas-
sendes Kabel bei. Um die Buchse BRIGDE OUT (13)
der ersten Endstufe mit der Buchse BRIGDE IN (13)
der zweiten Endstufe zu verbinden, ein abgeschirm-
tes Audiokabel mit Cinch-Steckern verwenden. Um
die Minuspole (-) der Anschlüsse SPEAKER (21)
zwischen den Endstufen zu verbinden, ein Lautspre-
cherkabel verwenden.
6.3 Speakers
Connect the subwoofer (impedance min. 2 Ω) to the
(e. g. CPC-
2 connections SPEAKER + and - (21). The two
connection pairs are connected in parallel so that it
is possible to connect also two subwoofers with an
impedance of 4 Ω as a minimum, if required.
Important! When choosing suitable speakers,
pay in any case attention to their me-
chanical and electrical capability in
connection with the power used of the
power amplifier (also see specifica-
tions of the power amplifier on page 7).
6.4 Bridge operation
With a second D-REX/1202 it is possible to double
the output power in bridge operation to more than
2 kW at 4 Ω. The impedance of the subwoofer in
bridge operation must not fall below 4 Ω. The wiring
for the bridge operation is shown in fig. 4. The
connections which deviate from the normal opera-
tion are marked with a thicker line.
A matching cable is supplied for the connection of
the jacks LINK (20) between the power amplifiers.
Use a screened audio cable with phono connectors
to connect the jack BRIDGE OUT (13) of the first
power amplifier to the jack BRIDGE IN (13) of the
second power amplifier. Use a speaker cable to
connect the negative poles (-) of the connectors
SPEAKER (21) between the power amplifiers.

6.5 Fernbedienung
Anstelle einer festen Pegeleinstellung mit dem Reg-
ler GAIN (4) kann die Fernbedienung (14) zur varia-
blen Pegeleinstellung verwendet werden. Damit las-
sen sich je nach Musikmaterial die Bässe entspre-
chend anheben oder absenken. Die Fernbedienung
in Fahrerreichweite montieren. Das Anschlusskabel
in die Buchse REMOTE CONTROL (12) stecken.
Der Regler GAIN ist damit außer Funktion.
7 Inbetriebnahme

Vor dem ersten Einschalten sollte die kom-
plette Verdrahtung der Car-HiFi-Endstufe
noch einmal auf Richtigkeit überprüft werden.
Erst danach die Minusklemme der Autobatte-
rie wieder anschließen.
1) Die Trennfrequenz mit dem Regler LOWPASS
(6) einstellen (d. h. die Frequenz, die vom Sub-
woofer nicht mehr wiedergegeben werden soll).
Die Feineinstellung erfolgt nach der Pegeleinstel-
lung mit entsprechenden Messgeräten.
2) Mit dem Regler SUBSONIC (5) die untere Über-
tragungsfrequenz des Subwoofers einstellen.
Der Subwoofer wird so durch das Subsonic-Filter
vor sehr tiefen Frequenzen geschützt.
3) Den Regler GAIN (4) ganz nach links in die Posi-
tion „8 V" drehen oder wenn die Fernbedienung
(14) angeschlossen ist, deren Regler ganz nach
links in Richtung des Pfeils „-".
4) Die Car-HiFi-Anlage komplett einschalten. Die
Endstufe ist für ca. 3 Sekunden stumm geschal-
tet (Einschaltverzögerung), danach leuchten auf
der Geräteoberseite die beiden blauen LEDs.
5) Die Signalquelle, z. B. das Autoradio, auf maxi-
male, nicht verzerrende Lautstärke einstellen.
Tipp Um Störeinstrahlungen durch die Auto-
elektrik so gering wie möglich zu halten,
sollte der Ausgangspegel der Signal-
quelle min. 1,5 V betragen.
6.5 Remote control
Instead of a fixed level adjustment with the control
GAIN (4) the remote control (14) can be used for
variable level adjustment. Thus, it is possible to
boost or attenuate the bass frequencies accordingly
depending on the music material. Mount the remote
control within the driver's reach. Connect the cable
to the jack REMOTE CONTROL (12). Thus, the con-
trol GAIN is without function.

7 Setting into Operation

Prior to the first switching-on, it is recom-
mended to check the entire wiring of the car
HiFi power amplifier once again for correct-
ness before connecting the negative terminal
of the car battery again.
1) Adjust the crossover frequency with the control
LOWPASS (6) [i.e. the frequency which is not to
be reproduced any more by the subwoofer]. The
fine adjustment is made after the level adjust-
ment with corresponding meters.
2) With the control SUBSONIC (5) adjust the lower
radiating frequency of the subwoofer. Thus, the
subwoofer is protected by the subsonic filter
against very low frequencies.
3) Turn the control GAIN (4) to the left stop to posi-
tion "8 V" or, if the remote control (14) has been
connected, turn its control to the left stop in direc-
tion of the arrow "-".
4) Switch on the car HiFi system completely. The
power amplifier is muted for approx. 3 seconds
(switch-on delay), then the two blue LEDs on the
upper side of the unit light up.
5) Adjust the signal source, e. g. the car radio to
maximum, not distorting volume.
