Only operate the blade (D) with the corresponding inserts. The sliding inserts (D1,
D2 and D3) are not suitable for the grater (C) or the ice shaver (A).
The diameter of the filling chute (7) is about 80 mm. The diameter of the big
pusher (1c) is 60 mm and the diameter of the small pusher (1b) is 40 mm. The
parts 1b and 1c can be used as filling chutes as well as pusher. By doing so, you
have for each food size the suitable accessory.
Before placing fruits or vegetables into the filling chute, cut them in suitable sizes
for better fitting.
The vegetables fibres have to be parallel to the cutting direction.
For round slices place fruits/vegetables lengthwise into the filling chute. For
julienne stripes cut fruits/vegetables twice or three times along the length. Cut car-
rots or onions for better grating once horizontally and once vertically (crosswise).
Do not operate the slicer for longer than 3 minutes continuously. Let it cool down
before next use.
Store the slicer and the blades out of reach of children. To store the slicer space
savingly, place the blades and the sliding inserts in the collecting container and
the pusher into each other. By doing so, all parts will be ready for next use.
After processing very salty and acidic food, rinse the blade right away. After cut-
ting onions or garlic, clean all parts immediately.
When processing fading food, like carrots or beetroot the plastic parts of the
appliance may become discoloured. Clean these parts immediately with deter-
gent.
Hard cheese (e. g. Parmesan) is recommended for grating.
Unsuitable Foodstuff
Meat, fish, ham and sausage are not suitable for being cut with this slicer. Soft
and hollow vegetables such as capsicum, tomatoes, eggplant and scallion are not
suitable, too.
Soft cheese will stick on the blade. It is not suitable for being grated. Never grate
frozen or packed food.
