Before first Use
Before using the first time, clean all parts of the appliance.
Clean the appliance with a lightly moistened cloth. Use detergent as needed.
Do not wash the appliance or the racks in a dishwasher or immerse it in water
or any other liquids.
After cleaning, let the unit run for 30 minutes with no "load". Then rinse the
racks in water and dry all parts. This act is only necessary for the first time.
Cleaning
Unplug the dehydrator from the power supply and let it cool down before
cleaning. Use a soft brush to remove food sticking. Dry all parts before storing
the dehydrator.
Do not clean the appliance with aggressive chemicals or abrasives in order not
to damage the surface.

Assembling the appliance

Make sure that the dehydrator sits steadily on a solid, level surface.
Stock the drying racks and connect the plug with a wall socket. The dehydrator
is now ready for use.
Hints:
This dehydrator includes 5 stackable racks and an overheat protection. The lid
contains the motor and the On-/Off-switch. The air vents on the lid allow air to
be circulated.
Using a controlled heat temperature system, air is circulated from the top of
the dehydrator to each of the five racks and the base to removes moisture
from food.
Depending on the moisture of the food itself and the humidity in the air, drying
operation time can change. Use the dehydrator in a dust free, warm and dry
room. Well air ventilation is also important.
Fruit and vegetables dried in your food dehydrator will have a different
appearance from those sold in health food stores and supermarkets. This is
due to your food dehydrator does not use any preservatives, no artificial col-
ouring and only natural additives.
Records of humidity, weight of the product before and after drying times, will
be helpful to improve your drying techniques in the future.
