Room controller, two 0...10 V outputs
AL24A2 is a room controller with two 0..10V outputs. The unit is
suitable for zone control of heating and cooling in ventilation and
airhandling systems. It has built-in sensor, input for external
sensor and input for SPC. The controller can operate in either P or
PI mode.
The P-band is adjustable between 0,5..50K and I-time can be set
either to 2 or 20 minutes.
Installation
Mount the controller in a place that reflects the overall ambient
temperature in the room. Open the front cover by depressing the
plastic latchhook on the lower cover edge. Use a small screwdriver
or similar.

The controller has a built-in sensor. If external sensor is used,
connect it to terminals 6 and 7. Jumper Ext/Int (BY1) should be set
in Ext position.

SPC (Setpoint Control)
Using an external signal between 0..10V on the SPC input, the
setpoint can be offset up or down. At 5V DC on this terminal, no
change is made to the setpoint. At 0V, setpoint is offset with -15K
and at 10V with +15K.

Adjust with knob that extends from the lower right of the casing.
The knob setting can be mechanically fixed with the latchscrew
located under the front cover.
P-Band
0,5..50K (See figure 1)
Neutral zone
The neutral zone is adjustable ( see figure 1) between 0...3 K
and determines the relative starting point for the cooling
function. The cooling output is allowed to increase only when
temperature rises above setpoint + current neutral zone. This
makes the overall system more stable and prevents hunting.

Indicators
AL24A2 has a red and a green LED for output level (Y1 and Y2)
indication where the brightness corresponds to output voltage
level (see figure 1).
